This position will play a central role in operationalizing Exelon’s Path to Clean (PTC) vision and reducing our greenhouse gas (GHG) footprint to net zero by 2050. The position will co-lead the electrification of Exelon’s fleet vehicles and other key cross-OpCo initiatives focused reducing GHG from operations and collaborate on strategy and policy initiatives related to beneficial electrification.  

The overall purpose will be to develop, manage, and evaluate high profile, complex projects/programs/initiatives involving multiple organizations across Exelon from planning to post implementation phases as required, primarily related to the operationalization of the PTC initiative. This role will develop business plans, project charters and performance metrics in support of PTC and clean energy initiatives and ensure organizational and operating company alignment and drive the integration of best practices to achieve and/or exceed expected PTC goals.  The role will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders in pursuit and achievement of PTC goals and track and report progress on key business initiatives and manage quality assurance and/or change management activities involving internal and external personnel.  This position will maintain an on-going interface with various Exelon and vendor organizations in areas such as the execution of business processes, strategic data quality and data remediation initiatives, and management model implementation. These requirements require strong communication and problem-solving skills, performing high-level analysis, forecasting, trending, variance analysis, business case development, and other general financial and operational analysis.

Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies, and will require some level of travel to perform the work assignment.


  • Direct development and lead teams on strategic business initiatives, projects, and programs in support of PTC.  Lead requirements analysis, performance measurement, and/or quality assurance.  Manage scope, schedule, and budget for strategic high profile, complex organizational projects and programs. (20%) 
  • Manage and report on process/project/initiative assignments.  Develop performance indicators and tracking mechanisms to monitor and report results.  Oversee, prepare, review, and analyze reports and controls for strategic projects and initiatives. (20%) 
  • Develop work plans to implement corrective actions that are identified as a result of performance assessment. (10%) 
  • Oversee the establishment of business plans and objectives across multiple areas / departments/operating companies. Lead stakeholders in the development of business cases and prioritization of deliverables. (20%) 
  • Lead change management activities for projects, programs, and initiatives.  Develop and implement training of employees and external personnel for new processes and procedures.  Develop and implement effective business readiness procedures. (10%) 
  • Drive the integration of best practices within the organization.  Investigate best practices, through benchmarking, and develop and execute work plans to support the integration of the functions and best practices identified.  Maintain on-going interface with various Exelon organizations regarding the execution of business processes, strategic initiatives, and management model. (20%) 



  • This is an individual contributor position that works independently with little or no supervision. The position requires integration of business knowledge and functional priorities to address complex problems and non-standard situations. The position regularly mentors less experienced colleagues.
  • Position requires routine interaction with key internal and external stakeholders, executives, directors, managers and staff across the organization.
  • May require working extended hours and/or shift work to support business operations.



  • BA/BS in Business, Economics, Political Science, Public Policy or Engineering and 8 - 10 years related business experience.
  • Advanced understanding of applicable standards, methods, processes and practices, business fundamentals, and performance metrics in the specific functional area supported by this position (e.g., asset management, electric or gas operations, customer service, transmission and substation, distribution system operations, regulatory , and governmental and external affairs, economic development transmission operations and planning).
  • Advanced proficiency in standard software applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project), specialized business technologies and applications (e.g., workforce management, project management, PassPort, Brio, CIS, EPS, Business Objects, SAP planning, business modeling, forecasting, voice response unit, automatic call distributors, work management, outage management) to retrieve and analyze data in support of business needs.
  • Ability to provide in-depth analysis and apply managerial accounting concepts, customer intelligence gathering, forecasting, staff planning, scheduling, analytical and statistical problem solving, financial, accounting, business and budget analysis.
  • Expert analytical skills for project evaluation including analysis of complex projects with economic, financial, risk and decision analysis. Proficient in business case development and ability to effectively present business cases to business unit leadership.
  • Advanced knowledge of the practices, procedures and principles of performance analysis (trending, root cause and gap analysis) benchmarking and audit compliance. Ability to analyze organizational data and complex problems, interpret and recommend alternative courses of action, and implement intervention strategies to attain performance targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a cross-functional team. Ability to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively and foster culture change. Demonstrated advanced skills in problem solving, negotiation, conflict management and business acumen.
  • Customer driven with good oral and written communications skills and basic analytical, problem solving and project management skills.


  • MBA or Masters’ degree in a business or S.T.E.M. field
  • Certification as :Certified Associate in Project Mgmt (CAPM) OR Project Management Professional (PMP) OR Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Advanced knowledge of the practices, procedures and principles of project management.  Ability to analyze complex business processes and systems, interpret and recommend alternative courses of action, and implement intervention strategies to attain performance targets.
  • Expert analytical skills for project evaluation including analysis of complex projects with economic, financial, risk and decision analysis.  Proficient in business case development and ability to effectively present business cases to business unit leadership.
