PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Senior Communications Specialist is responsible for the development and execution of communications’ strategies and campaigns for the three Pepco Holdings utilities, Atlantic City Electric, Delmarva Power and Pepco, with a focus on digital communications and social media. This position develops or adapts key messaging for proactive outreach and in response to emergent issues, to position the company positively with a range of stakeholders including customers, community members, regulators and elected officials, influencers and advocacy groups. The specialist serves as a point of contact for external and internal communications and works closely with the business units and company leadership to develop and coordinate the positioning of strategic content to enhance corporate brand, reputation and identity. This position reports to the Digital Communications Manager.
