PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Working under minimal direction and partnering effectively with Ethics, Legal and other HR groups, conducts investigations into potential Business Code of Conduct violations assigned to HR by the Office of Ethics and Compliance and any other potential violations of Human Resources policies, as assigned. Independently manages cases through the following phases of the investigation cycle: complaint intake, investigative strategy, and execution of investigation including preparation of investigatory findings of fact and analysis of whether facts found constitute violations of the Code or other policies. Ensures investigation conducted is thorough, fair, objective, and consistent with investigation best practices. Performs a review of prior corrective actions applied in similar situations and makes recommendations as to appropriate corrective actions resulting from current investigations with an eye toward ensuring accountability and promoting consistency across Exelon business units in enforcement of the Business Code of Conduct, the Policy against Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation, and the Policy against Sexual Harassment.

Minimum:
Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources or related field
8+ years of strong HR operations experience or HR specialist area in a matrix organization
Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including knowledge of EEO, ADA and FMLA.
Proven investigation skills in investigating.
Ability to provide verbal and written communications clearly, succinctly and persuasively.
Ability to serve as a trusted advisor dealing directly with stakeholders to establish trust, communicate diplomatically and effectively, and foster culture change.
Proven ability to engender the trust and confidence of others, protect confidential information, and handle sensitive investigations with tact and diplomacy
Preferred:
Advanced degree, MBA or Masters Degree in related HR field.
Ability to understand problems in the context of the bigger picture and influential relationships as well as the overall industry and marketplace in which Exelon operates.
Working knowledge of company policies, procedures, and Collective Bargaining Agreements
