PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

This position is responsible for the daily management of Credit Risk activities with primary focus on managing Third-Party Collections. This includes daily management of third-party collections programs, interactions with vendors, media requests / inquiries, tracking performance, and processing invoices. As a member of the credit organization, this position will require an understanding of the physical and financial products offered by the Company and the marketplace in order to properly assess recovery on inactive customers.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage and respond to collection agency inquiries, customer disputes, agency media requests, etc. 30%
  • Manage and maintain third-party vendor relationships – optimizing vendor usage across Exelon to drive towards best-in-class performance – Recovery rates and other key KPIs. 20%
  • Coordinate and assemble third-party packages on past due customer accounts. 15%
  • Coordinate and maintain all customer and internal stakeholder relationships, including internal call centers, Revenue Management, Receivables Management. 15%
  • Assist on presentations to Senior Management that include credit decisions and recommendations, while highlighting top credit risks within the organization. 10%
  • Support the coordination, maintenance, and implementation of improved reporting and functionality of Credit Risk systems. 10%


JOB SCOPE

This is an individual contributor position that woks under general supervision and frequently performs non-routine work. This position is expected to resolve most questions and problems through interaction with internal and/or external stakeholders, executives, directors, managers, and staff across the organization, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels. On occasion, may mentor less experienced colleagues. May require working extended hours and/or shift work to support business operations.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related degree and at least 2 years of experience in a business-related field, or or in lieu of Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 6 - 10 years relevant business experience is required.
  • Knowledge of credit and risk management fundamentals.
  • Understanding of financial, retail, utility and wholesale energy markets.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills with ability to handle multiple duties
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with internal partners, external counterparties, vendors, and senior level executives within Risk and Operational Areas.
  • Must be self motivated and possess excellent time management skills
  • General proficiency in standard software applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project),
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced energy environment.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of formal credit training program
