PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Talent Management & Organizational Development Specialist will support the development and coordination of the accountabilities listed below for the Talent Management and Organization Development (TMOD) organization. The role will support the TMOD team in establishing and continuously improving the talent management and organization development programs, processes and tools that drive talent, development and performance excellence. Support includes running and analyzing reports, coordinating department meetings, creating and supporting metrics, trending and gap assessments, along with planning Leadership Development Programs. The role provides both analytics and administrative tasks that are needed to support talent management programs such as succession planning, business talent review, team effectiveness, the and the TMOD team. Working under direct supervision, provides entry-level duties in support of the above.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  •  Coordinate logistics for Leadership development programs, and summarize the outcomes and evaluations for each. (10%)
  • Assist in the preparation and review of the succession planning process (Business Talent Review) and special succession planning meetings including logistics, data entry and roll up and material preparation in support of the TMOD team. (20%)
  • Under supervision, manage the individual development planning process. Build capability among leaders and employees to develop talent, particularly high potential talent, to support business strategy and goals. Provide coaching to leaders on the effective utilization of development tools such as job assignments, job rotations, assessments, development programs, training, and coaching and mentoring. (20%)
  • Participate in the results planning process for the Employee Engagement Survey, providing analysis to business leaders to drive organizational improvements. (10%)
  • Participate in project teams to support the development and implementation of enterprise-wide management and leadership development processes and programs. (10%)
  • Assist in building and maintaining the Professional and Leadership Development SharePoint site. (10%)
  • Provides analytic support for the TMOD team (i.e., metric tracking, data analysis, report generation). (20%)


JOB SCOPE

Interacts with line management, department leaders, HR, managers and all levels of employees across ComEd. Reports to the Sr. Manager, Talent Manager Organizational Development.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business or related field. 2-5 years of experience in HR-related functions that include management/leadership development and talent review. Ability to operate with minimal direction from manager. Demonstrated orientation to understanding the business and business strategy, and the ability to apply talent management process and tools accordingly
  • Demonstrated personal drive and sense of urgency pushing self and others for results; delivers on results despite obstacles.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MA degree in industrial/Organizational Development Business or related field
  • Ability to operate with minimal direction from manager.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills and ability to prioritize multiple activities and requirements.
  • Able to obtain, analyze and evaluate data.
  • Strong computer base analytical skills (Microsoft Office, specifically access database, Excel, and Power Point)
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively, while maintaining attention to detail.
