PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Key member of the Business Operations and Technical Support Team, providing reporting solutions, data visualization, actionable insights, and innovative thought leadership to drive sustainable results across Exelon’s Supply Chain in alignment with Exelon’s vision and goals.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop reporting solutions based on business requirements and determine most efficient delivery method for reports (i.e., scheduled updates, dashboards, self-service)
  • Evaluate current data analysis/manipulation activities being performed by customer(s) and develop solutions that maximize efficiency and reduces time and effort needed to perform these activities
  • Consult on projects that involve manipulating existing Supply information or create new Supply information to ensure they are optimized to support future reporting requirements
  • Identify and support continuous improvement and innovative initiatives across Supply Chain as identified by leadership to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Benchmark with industry and non-industry peers to determine best practices for identifying innovative Supply information tools
  • Ensure that reporting is accurate, and that the data and data visualization provides actionable insights to the end users.  A key area of focus is reporting on Supply’s diverse spend progress against goals.
  • Support the Business Units' Emergency Response activities as assigned


JOB SCOPE

  • Interfaces routinely with Category Managers, supply operations, internal customers, and Exelon senior leadership 
  • Ability to adapt and develop/design solutions based in business needs, without using a defined requirements document
  • Ability to improvise/think outside of the box when faced with unexpected results or challenging assignments
  • Continuous improvement of the Supply organization
  • Availability for travel across Exelon locations, Supplier locations and business units; as business needs dictate.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, business, science, or related field with five (5) years’ experience 
  • Excellent MS Office suite skills  
  • Excellent mathematical skills and experience with relational database functionality 
  • High aptitude for data manipulation and structures
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strengths in organization and planning.
  • Strong service orientation and focus on business partnership; experience in navigating and balancing multiple customer needs


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA
  • Information Technology Experience
  • Supply Process Experience, including Asset Suite 8
  • Structured Query Language (SQL) Experience
