PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Serves as an Apollo Program Application Configuration Senior Financial Analyst for an Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application sub-workstream (General Ledger, Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Accounts Receivable), Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) application sub-workstream (Account Reconciliation, Consolidation, Data Management); or PowerPlan application and related functional conversion and integration activities. Provides system administration and functional support for the successful configuration and coordination with the broader Application Configuration, Business Process, Technology Enablement, Change Management and other teams in conformance with the Program’s Guiding Principles and in a manner, which satisfies the business and user requirements
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Executes functional configuration and supports day to day activities and priorities for the applicable application workstream to ensure milestones are met. Reports out any RIDAC items to their Application Configuration Manager (35%)
- Participates in process design, user story and configuration workshops for applicable applications and contributes to workshop material creation driving process standardization across all functional areas/OpCos (10%)
- Performs and supports configuration and conversion and integration activities for applicable applications in coordination with requirements from Business Process, other Application Configuration, and Technology Enablement teams (20%)
- Conducts peer quality reviews of team deliverables and reviews, contributes to and confirms: application design decisions, fit/gap assessments, functional specification documentation, values and setting within standard configuration workbooks, testing material, change management content for training, communications and change impacts, and other deliverables as assigned for related application areas (15%)
- Participates in all testing cycles (Unit, SIT, UAT, Performance, etc.) for related applications (15%)
- May serve as a trainer during end user training and supports cutover and hypercare activities (5%)
JOB SCOPE
- Direct report to an Application Configuration Manager
- Flexible work location of greater Chicago area or Baltimore with a flexible remote working pattern
- Ability to understand upstream and downstream system and business processes
- Support and execute applicable workstream activities and related functional conversion and integration activities; contributing and reviewing functional specific documentation, configuration workbooks, and testing, training, and change management material; participating in all testing cycles; and may serve as a trainer enabling successful application deployment and Hypercare period
- Strong analytical skills, communication skills, project management abilities and a customer service orientation are required
- Continuity of position during the program through the post go live Hypercare Period.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree with a related major (IT, Accounting, Finance)
- 5 to 8 years of progressive experience participating in technology projects, teams and/or initiatives in a technically and operationally complex business
- Demonstrated successful project management experience and acumen
- Comfortable with ambiguity
- Demonstrated experience with ensuring effective Change Management development and execution
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven capability in developing and delivering PowerPoint presentations to various levels within an organization including executives
- Ability to travel to Exelon locations (~20% travel)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced degree in business administration, accounting, or finance; CPA
- Project management experience and/or certification; PMP
- Regulatory/utility/FERC reporting or energy industry experience
- Experience as a functional user or financial systems support for ERP, EPM, and/or PowerPlan
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Experience with prior system integrations, application upgrade projects, merger/asset acquisition transactions, and/or business process redesign/standardization projects
