PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Oversee and manage all aspects of key information management systems that have been developed in support of the energy efficiency portfolio, including all reporting, data input/output processes, user interfaces and other related processes. Work with program managers to identify gaps in data processes and develop solutions. Work with IT vendor(s) to maintain infrastructure and platforms. Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Utilizing SSIS, oversee data management of these (and other related) systems, including: a) Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) processes b) Enhancement and usability improvements c) Cross-platform functionality d) Data Quality and Integrity e) Report and Dashboard Development
- Work with program managers and other key staff to address concerns and align platform functionality with program needs
- Ensure that all data systems comply with ComEd's and Exelon's data security requirements as well as applicable Federal and State laws. Identify deficiencies and develop processes to remediate any deficiencies found.
- Manage system enhancements and upgrades as needed. Work with vendors to manage upgrades, enhancements, patches and fixes on a timely basis. Provide general oversight and management to vendors of hosted systems.
JOB SCOPE
- Oversee several key information management systems that have been developed in support of energy efficiency programs. Systems include:
- 1) Project Tracking and Reporting System. This multi-faceted system was consists of several key elements:
- a) A centralized tracking database; this system runs under SQL Server 2012, and serves as the central repository for numerous programs.
- i. This data is used to track program and portfolio performance versus goals and targets
- ii. This data supports regulatory compliance requirements
- b) Web-based tracking systems; these systems were developed using Visual Studio, and are used to enter, track and report on key business energy efficiency programs.
- c) Sharepoint Farm used to provide program managers with a number of key reports as well as to enable collaboration among implementers and other key parties.
- Oversight of hosted system vendors and contrcators.
- Assist in the upgrade of the current tracking system, including requirements gathering, database engineering and reporting updates
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Computer programming 5 - 8 years relevant experience
- One year experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2 or later, including Reporting Services, Integration Services, Analysis Services, and Other Data Tools components
- Strong knowledge of T-SQL, including ability to write complex queries
- Ability to communicate with and coordinate with a wide variety of professionals ranging from engineers to vendors, to subcontractors.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certification for SQL Server Three years experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL Server 2012 and SQL Server Data Tools
- Familiarity with Salesforce and/or other commercial CRM systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Sharepoint 2010, Microsoft IIS, VMWare and Windows Server 2012R2
- Power BI or Tableau report generation experience with multiple data sources
- Familiarity, knowledge, or fluency of data warehouse infrastructure
- Experience with PostGres databases and non-relational databases for reporting and querying
