PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITIONReporting to the Executive Director of Offsite Renewable C&I Sales, the successful candidate will function as the lead technical resource for Retail's offsite renewable business and Constellation Offsite Renewable (CORe) product offerings. The candidate will: i) establish themselves as Retail's internal technical expert on the offsite renewable marketplace and Constellation's specific product offerings; and ii) leverage their technical expertise and sales capabilities to provide transaction level assistance to Constellation's retail sales team as they identify and close CORe transactions.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES- Apply technical expertise on offsite renewable procurement to provide transaction-level assistance to Constellation's retail sales team on offsite renewable (CORe) transactions (30%)
- Organize and oversee innovative outreach strategies including webinars, sales campaigns, and external media to build pipeline and increase transaction flow (10%)
- Function as the primary technical point of contact for the retail offsite renewable business for key internal stakeholders: Portfolio Management, Wholesale Origination, Retail/Wholesale Pricing, Legal, and other functional organizations. (20%)
- Build a network and manage relationships with third parties (consultants, brokers) engaged in the renewable energy field to position Constellation as a supplier of choice for offsite renewable procurement (10%)
- Develop and present business cases to gain approval for transactions and proposed commercial strategies across all regions (10%)
- Monitor the offsite renewable marketplace and maintain a solid understanding of market and pricing developments to assess current and future impact on the offsite renewable business (20%)
JOB SCOPE- Identify key factors that provide a measure of the position's impact on the organization.
- For Example:
- Level and depth of supervisory duties
- Candidate will report directly to head of the Retail Offsite Renewable business, under the National Accounts Sales organization
- Candidate will serve as a primary point of contact (with assistance an supervision of Executive Director) for offsite renewable issues within the retail organization
- Candidate will have a direct impact on and accountability for achieving gross margin goals of the Offsite Renewable business and C&I Retail Power
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelors Degree or higher in Business (Marketing or Finance) or Engineering.
- At least 5 8 years of experience in energy/electricity markets with an emphasis on renewables and power purchase agreements or equivalent
- At least 5 8 years of experience in Sales or technical sales/sales support or equivalent
- Strong financial modeling background with focus on energy markets and power purchase agreements
- Experience presenting and closing high-level Fortune 500 customers
- Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills, the ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and experience using databases All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience cultivating senior level contacts with potential business partners in the renewable energy sector
- Direct sales experience in electricity markets with focus on renewable solutions
- Demonstrated leadership and team work skills in working across internal commercial business and with customers around large, complex structured transactions.
- Masters or Advanced Degree preferred
