PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Manages day-to-day activities in the Program Management Office (PMO) to implement and provides guidance related to standardizing project related processes and policies, providing oversight and governance ensuring performance of procedures in accordance with the core management model procedures for Centrally Managed Projects. Identify and implement solutions to address gaps, redundancies, inefficiencies, non-compliance with procedures/processes. Responsible for developing and maintaining an environment that promotes diversity and inclusion and high performance. Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Direct, manage and supervise the team to ensure end-to-end integration of process across the organization. (25%)
  • Develop and maintain a learning organization that fosters a high-performance culture and promotes diversity. Serves as a change agent for business initiatives and assures the human element is understood and considered including timely recognition of employees. Use effective performance management to provide accurate and timely feedback and identify opportunities for growth and learning. (15%)
  • Manage cross-functional assignments or projects as appropriate. (15%)
  • Develop, implement, evaluate and measure processes to audit and continuously improve project management processes. (10%)
  • Identify training needs and collaborate with the training organization to provide the necessary resources. (10%)
  • Provide leadership in establishing, adopting and enhancing processes, practices and tools and standards required to run a highly effective and agile project delivery organization. (10%)
  • Owner of the Risk Management Program to manage and provide oversight to identify project risks and assure that appropriate risk management activities are identified and executed. (5%)
  • Manages project specific reporting for large projects and programs which includes metrics associated with status updates associated with scope, schedule and budgets. (5%)
  • Promote an atmosphere of cooperation and collaboration among the project management teams. (5%)

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, Project Management or a related field.
  • 8+ years of Project Management, project controls or PMO experience including 5 years of construction or operations experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or achieve PMP within two years of job entry
  • Proven high level management skills in coaching and facilitating business competency.
  • Proven performance management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results, build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively and foster culture change within a matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement process enhancements and efficiencies including technology and performance.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, customer awareness and ability to create value.
  • General proficiency in standard software applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Graduate degree or Graduate level work in Business Administration or related field.
  • 3 years or more as a supervisor / manager or relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete compliance assessments, including root cause analysis and process improvement evaluation and implementation.
  • Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP)
