PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Provide management of the engineering function of accountability and act as backup to the Site Engineering Director.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES- Provide management of the station design engineering function with respect to station needs and regulatory requirements. (35%)
- Manage the performance and development of assigned engineering personnel relative to site and corporate objectives and provide focus on the attainment of high-quality engineering results. (30%)
- Participate as manager in Business Planning, Budget and Business Performance review for Site Design Engineering. Fulfill managerial responsibilities regarding assigned staff (e.g., Employment, Development, compensation, Performance Evaluation, etc.) Ensures consistent and effective work force practices through assigned supervisors/functions. (20%)
- Directly and through subordinates, fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability regarding short-term and long-term programs that impact site operations. (15%)
JOB SCOPE- Accountable for assigned budget as well as staffing, development, compensation, and related human resource needs of assigned employees. Coordinate, monitor and evaluate engineering service providers as required.
- Support development of complex troubleshooting plans in support of plant operations. Defend the plant design and licensing basis. Preparation and approval of design outputs and plant temporary configuration changes, small broke/fix design changes in accordance with approved processes and design requirements. Support installation and testing of plant systems and components and facility changes. Ensure the plant's physical and functional characteristics are accurately reflected in the plant documents. Perform engineering analysis to support plant changes
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 8-10 years of nuclear power plant design engineering experience with 3 years of engineering management experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional Engineering Registration
- Advanced Technical Degree, MBA
