Quad Cities Nuclear Station in Cordova, IL (25 miles north of the Quad Cities) is looking for Maintenance/Industrial Mechanics to join our team in June 2022. 

Rate: $44.39 per hour

Comprehensive Benefits after 90 day probation period

Start date: June 2022

IBEW Local 15 position

Job Description: To perform installation, inspection, maintenance and repair work on mechanical equipment such as packing pumps and valves, disconnecting, connecting, and insulating pipes, welding, and operating machine tools where close tolerances are not involved.  To assist mechanics of higher classification by performing such work as disassembling and assembling equipment, rolling and expanding tubes, repairing, and resealing valves.  Maintenance and repair work on buildings and equipment.

Qualifications

Position Requirements to Qualify for Interview: 

• High School diploma or educational equivalent
• Pass pre-employment testing (MASS)
• Ability to work different shifts
• Ability to receive unescorted Nuclear access

And one of the following: 

• Associates degree in a technical field

OR

• Two years minimum related Mechanical military experience

OR

• Two years minimum experience as a journeyperson Pipefitter, Boilermaker or Millwright

OR

• Two years minimum of equivalent journeyperson Pipefitter, Boilermaker or Millwright experience in industrial employment

Minimum Qualification for Selection: score in the top half of all candidates interviewed
