PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The ComEd Energy Efficiency Data Management and Reporting Team is responsible for the data collection, processing and reporting of all of the Energy Efficiency programs offered by ComEd. We are currently looking for an experienced Salesforce Analyst to help manage and maintain our Salesforce environment which is used by several internal and external stakeholders. This role will be responsible for managing user requests, troubleshooting issues, testing new enhancements & fixes, project management, providing training and along with additional configuration and administrative responsibilities within Salesforce. Because this role involves considerable interaction with internal and external stakeholders, the idea candidate needs excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The ideal candidate will need to have excellent interpersonal communication skills since this role involves considerable interaction with internal and external system users. Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage the Salesforce roadmap of initiatives to ensure user requests are completed on time and in alignment with user request
  • Collaborate with end users to define, plan and implement initiatives, resolve issues and meet business requirements
  • Document and implement processes for internal stakeholders
  • Provides and delivers training and creates documentation and materials that allow for greater instruction and system adoption of changes.
  • Facilitate system administration and help streamline business functionality including: profiles/permissions, role hierarchy, security models, application customization, reports and dashboards, etc
  • Provide analytical support
  • Track key performance indicators (e.g. kWh and expenditures)
  • Maintain and enhance tracking and reporting templates
  • Consolidate historical data and program performance
  • Acts as a Salesforce subject matter expert and trusted advisor for all internal users, escalating issues as needed.
  • Other tasks as requested by ComEd’s Energy Efficiency Planning department.

JOB SCOPE

  • This is an individual contributor position that works independently with only general direction, relying on knowledge skills and judgment acquired through education and relevant experience to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals. The position regularly mentors less experienced colleagues.
  • Position requires routine interaction with key internal and external stakeholders, executives, directors, managers and staff across the organization.
  • May require working extended hours and/or shift work to support business operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Admin experience with the ability to update and create new users, manage roles and profiles, reports, dashboards, program configurations, field/picklists, validations and workflows as requested.
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Knowledge of Visualforce
  • Experience using a data visualizations tool (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)

 

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering AND 5 - 8 years related business experience, or in lieu of Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 9 - 12 years relevant business experience is required.
  • Comprehensive understanding of applicable standards, methods, processes and practices, business fundamentals, and performance metrics in the specific functional area supported by this position (e.g., asset management, electric or gas operations, customer service, transmission and substation, distribution system operations, regulatory and external affairs, transmission operations and planning).
  • Advanced proficiency in standard software applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project), specialized business technologies and applications (e.g., workforce management, project management, PassPort, Brio, CIS, EPS, Business Objects, SAP planning, business modeling, forecasting, voice response unit, automatic call distributors, work management, outage management) to retrieve and analyze data in support of business needs.
  • Ability to provide in-depth analysis and apply managerial accounting concepts, customer intelligence gathering, forecasting, staff planning, scheduling, analytical and statistical problem solving, financial, accounting, business and budget analysis.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills for project evaluation including analysis of complex projects with economic, financial, risk and decision analysis. Proficient in business case development and ability to effectively present business cases to business unit leadership.
  • Customer driven with good oral and written communications skills and strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the practices, procedures and principles of performance analysis (trending, root cause and gap analysis) benchmarking and audit compliance. Ability to analyze organizational data and complex problems, interpret and recommend alternative courses of action, and implement intervention strategies to attain performance targets.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

MBA or relevant advanced degree.
