Partnering with all levels of leadership within the business unit, Ethics and Legal, aligns Human Resources’ investigative strategy and execution with Exelon’s focus on fostering a positive and respectful workplace for all employees.  Provide proactive and objective investigatory guidance and support to various stakeholders with goal of ensuring that the Business Code of Conduct is promoted and adhered to throughout the enterprose. Working under minimal direction, supports assigned client group and conducts Human Resources investigations through all phases of the HR Investigation cycle. Responsible for complaint intake, investigative strategy, stakeholder alignment and execution of investigation including preparation of investigatory findings.  The Principal HR advisor is responsible for ensuring fair and consistent investigation and accountability is applied across Exelon business units for similar violations. Supports the Employee Relations strategy across the HR organization as well as directly with respective client groups.

Investigate or provide oversight over the investigation process of Human Resource concerns, ethics concerns and/or any other potential policy or program violations. Ensure consistent application and accountability for all violations.

Partner with business leadership to provide consultative guidance and establish productive relationships with business unit clients and imbedded HR support

Ensure accurate case reporting is tracked to support analysis of case metrics for trends or potential risks. Support development of recommendations to address those trends for your client group.

Champion Employee Relations engagement to help the business unit implement consistent delivery and interpretation of the employee policies and programs.

Provide mentorship for other Employee Relations Advisors and input to the strategy, policy and process of the investigation team.

 

Qualifications

MINIMUM:

Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources or related field
8+ years of strong HR operations experience or HR specialist area in a matrix organization
Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including knowledge of EEO, ADA and FMLA
Proven skills in investigating, coaching and performance management
Ability to serve as a trusted advisor dealing directly with client leads to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively and foster culture change

Demonstrated ability to deal directly with client leads to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively and foster culture change.
Proven ability to engender the trust and confidence of others, protect confidential information, and handle sensitive investigations with tact and diplomacy.

PREFERRED:

Advanced degree, MBA or Masters Degree in related HR Field
Ability to understand problems in the context of the bigger picture and influential relationships as well as the overall industry and marketplace in which Exelon operates.
