PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Perform activities relating to designing, building, testing, implementing and maintaining solutions, products and processes under the guidance of a Sr. Data Engineer or Manager. May assist in the coordination of tasks for subordinates. Independence level: Works under general supervision.

 

Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies

This position will work with IT strategic partners to support and maintain Business Intelligence, analytics and reporting solutions for the Exelon Utilities operating companies.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Perform, document and assist in planning work activities relating to projects, sub-projects, or processes. For Projects: analyze requirements, design, build, and test IT software solutions in accordance with IT project management standards. For operations/application maintenance: enhance, maintain or support existing IT products and processes to the defined service level agreement
  • Assist in creation of documentation for products and services. Use best practices to improve products and services provided to business unit partners, and monitor adherence within Team/Group to standards as defined within the Management Model
  • Maintain and enhance engagement with business and IT partners and other stakeholders
  • Establish positive team environment by assisting and training less experienced personnel.
  • Proactively build technical knowledge and business acumen within own discipline or function


POSITION SCOPE

 

  • As assigned, work effectively with outsourcing partners
  • Performs this service in support of Exelon Utility Analytics

 

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree and typically 2 to 5 years related experience in data warehouse design, business intelligence reporting and ETL/ELT processing or 6 - 9 years equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Appropriate technical skills with Oracle Data Integrator 12c, Oracle Business Intelligence 12c, Oracle RDBMS 12c, Automic UC4, Kafka, Nifi, Red Hat Enterprise Linux and other technologies
  • Leverage knowledge of applications, data and business processes used by the Exelon Utilities Operating Companies to build, support and maintain data integrations/transformations for Business Intelligence Reporting and Data Analytics.
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Computer Science preferred
