This job is responsible for providing support to PHI’s Energy Assistance Outreach initiatives as well as building and managing critical relationships in the community with all targeted stakeholders (community based organizations, program agencies, non-profits, etc).


  • Works to ensure that all programs,initiatives, and activities are planned are in accordance with unit and corporate goals and objectives.
  • Analyzes and evaluates overall effectiveness of energy assistance programs, outreach initiatives and activities to ensure corporate objectives with customer needs are met. Strategically initiates and executes in-person and virtual initiatives and activities in tandem with corporate messaging,partner messaging, program policy and customer energy assistance needs.
  • Develops and maintains essential internal and external relationships.Fosters and supports community based organization partnerships, low-income initiatives and other corporate programs recognizing the extrinsic and intrinsic impacts these relationships have on the company image and its financial success.
  • Identifies, collaborates, and provides relevant information to cross- divisional Company stakeholders in support of program activities.
  • Works in cooperation with internal stakeholders  on community and local affairs issues by strategically implementing outreach initiatives  and or activities that will improve corporate image and customer satisfaction and promote enrollment in Energy Assistance Programs.
  • Anticipates and works with internal stakeholders to remediate customer issues as determined in engagements in community meetings, neighborhood associations, and other public affairs associated activities.


Works under minimal supervision, relying on knowledge, skills and judgment acquired through education and relevant experience to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals. Duties and tasks are generally varied with some complexity.  Has authority to resolve most questions and problems and refers only most complex issues to higher levels.




  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, or related discipline and at least 5 - 8 years related experience including at least 5 years experience in customer/community relations; customer relations, communications, public relations, marketing or related field, OR in lieu of a Bachelors degree, a minimum of 9 -12 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive relationships, utilizing effective interpersonal skills both inside and outside the Company.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effective while conveying an impression which reflects favorably upon the public relations of the Company.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively analyze relevant information, excel in analytical thinking and excels in adjusting work procedures and processes for maximum efficiency.
  • Ability to craft and make effective presentations that are well researched and highly credible
  • Demonstrated ability to use a personal computer
