This position serves as a member of the Atlantic City Electric Government & External Affairs Department and will be responsible for overseeing the execution of the Corporate Citizenship mission with primary responsibility for the following areas:

  1. Administering the region’s Corporate Contributions and Sponsorships budget and programs
  2. Active and direct communications and engagement with the employee base to advance established corporate citizenship goals
  3. Special events planning and management
  4. Supporting the annual corporate Employee Giving Campaign
  5. Lead the region’s Employee Volunteer Program


  • Support development, implementation, and evaluation of projects, programs. Manage scope, schedule, and budget for organizational projects and programs.
  • Report on assignments. Perform monitoring and reporting of results. Prepare, review, and analyze reports, controls, and other financial information for specific projects and initiatives.
  • Administer corporate contributions and corporate citizenship related programs for Atlantic City Electric, including budget-oversight, grants and in-kind gifts, grant-related benefits, and employee participation in community events.  
  • Prepare materials in support of internal review and approval of grant requests.
  • Assist in cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships with key community and nonprofit stakeholders by serving as a liaison to non-profit organizations requesting or receiving support. 
  • Manage specific projects which include interfacing with various internal and external stakeholders to promote an understanding of the corporation’s giving focus and programs.
  • Project manage various company-sponsored community engagement programs including development and oversight of calendars, trackers, promotional materials, planning meetings and event logistics.  
  • Possess strong writing and presentation skills.
  • Conduct site visits or other research for organizations seeking support, build community relationships and ensure compliance with grant criteria and grant-making strategy.        
  • Administer benefits of contributions activities to include program participation, ticket distribution and attendance at civic events, as well as other public relations functions.        
  • Represent company at various community events and programs.  
  • Consult with corporate contributions recipients and internal media relations to ensure maximum exposure and acknowledgement for CR initiatives.        
  • Monitor and evaluate contributions initiatives and generate reports on contributions activity to manager.    


  • This is an individual contributor position that works under general supervision and frequently performs non-routine work. This position is expected to resolve most questions and problems through interaction with internal and/or external stakeholders, directors, managers, and staff across the organization, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels. On occasion, the position may mentor less experienced colleagues.

  • Financial Scope:
    • Direct impact on budget is moderate. This position has a direct impact on the Company's performance regarding several key indicator’s operational costs, Customer Satisfaction and Company Reputation. Supports the development of key projects/programs/initiatives to ensure complete and successful implementation. Tracks key milestones.
    • This position is also key to maintaining the company's image and good standing with customers, regulators, and shareholders in regard to developing, coordinating, and implementing projects/programs/initiatives that have a direct link to customer experience and satisfaction.
  • Contacts:
    • This position requires interfacing across Exelon Corporation with various levels of personnel, the ability to build relationships across the organization is important.
    • Will regularly support cross-functional and cross company teams responsible for the integration of best practices through the organization. Supports the establishment of business plans and objectives for multiple areas / departments. Prepares performance indicators and other reports to monitor results.



  • Bachelor's degree in a business or S.T.E.M. field with a minimum of 2-5 years related business experience OR in lieu of bachelor's degree, High School diploma and 6-9 years related business experience.
  • General understanding of applicable standards, methods, processes and practices, business fundamentals, and performance metrics in the specific functional area supported by this position (e.g., electric or gas operations, customer service, transmission and substation, distribution system operations, regulatory and external affairs).
  • Strong proficiency in standard software applications (e.g., Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, & PowerPoint), and relevant specialized business applications (e.g., project portfolio management, requirements/test management, CIS/CRM, customer self-service, telephony, EPS, EAM, work management, & outage management) to support business needs.
  • Demonstrated business acumen with general problem solving and analytical/financial skills and a willingness to accept increased responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish trust, meet deadlines, communicate effectively, and accept accountability of multiple tasks.
  • Customer driven with demonstrated good written and oral communication skills.


  • MBA or Master's degree in a business or S.T.E.M. field.
  • General knowledge of the practices, procedures and principles of project management.
  • Certification as : Certified Associate in Project Mgmt (CAPM) OR Project Management Professional (PMP) OR Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Demonstrated general analytical skills for project evaluation including analysis of projects with economic, financial, risk and decision analysis. Skilled in business case development.
  • Interest in corporate citizenship, be a strong relationship-builder and communicator, and possess an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Self-starter with the ability to proactively identify opportunities to provide assistance driving continuous improvement in program development.
