Job Summary:

Is responsible for the direct supervision, guidance and leadership of all Billing and Credit Representatives.  Will oversee day-to-day activities of the staff to ensure the efficient use of all resources.  Maintains an environment conducive to achieving established performance goals and a achieving established KPI’s.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Function):

  • Supervises all activities and employees to operate on the highest level of efficiency and productivity while providing excellent customer service. Trains, monitors, coaches, and develops personnel while providing timely feedback on customer contact skills as well as all related business applications.  Ability to develop and maintain a positive and engaged workforce. Monitors daily productivity performance, employee issues and scheduling requirements.
  • Evaluates billing activity to ensure the fullest attention to posting and invoice processing and maintain appropriate level of staffing during peak periods. Reports statistical performance to Manager.
  • Applies established company policies and procedures to support Billing/Credit initiatives. Handles customer appeals and investigates customer inquiries and issues. 

 

Knowledge:

  • Strong financial and accounting aptitude with an emphasis in banking functions.
  • Ability to perform customer account maintenance while applying established company principles.
  • Established experience in billing functions to include refunds, third party reconciliations, account irregularities, payment application and invoicing protocols.
  • Well versed in providing reporting to multiple levels of management to include fiscal period close, banking settlements and adjustments, intercompany entries, and customer level account analysis.

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills required, including the ability to handle and resolve problematic situations. 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve superior results.

 

Education/Experience:

  • Four- year degree in Accounting or Business is preferred with a minimum five (5) years of applicable work experience and 2 years in a Supervisory role.  

 

Other (Including physical requirements, working conditions, etc.):

·        Working hours vary in accordance with workload requirements to include weekends and evenings.

·       Must be proficient in Microsoft Office tools. Knowledge of BGE HOME specific financial and relationship management applications to include MS Great Plains and MS CRM is a plus.

·        May perform other duties as assigned to include application enhancements and project contribution.
