Supports Vice President and General Counsel of PHI.  Under minimal direction, shall be responsible for providing executive support.  Under general direction, performs responsible, specialized, and confidential assignments and research.



This person will deal with confidential material. Must be committed to producing products of high-quality involving court documents and other legal matters.  Schedules appointments, gives information to callers and otherwise relieves executive of clerical and administrative work and business detail.  Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks.



  • Prepare documents for Vice President of Regulatory and GC and team members using advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to support legal filings and presentations.
  • Schedules executive meetings, books travel and processes expenses for executives and department as needed.
  • Handles basic outgoing phone calls to internal clients and external contacts.
  • Manage files, prepares, and supports budget reporting for department, and conducts basic research as needed.
  • Develops and maintains a positive working relationship with clients to obtain and clarify information needed to substantiate facts, identify documents, and otherwise support legal actions.
  • Participates or handles department-wide special projects as appropriate.




  • Paralegal or associates degree and 4 years’ experience preferred; bachelor’s degree can substitute for 2 years of experience; 6 years law firm or legal department experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.
  • Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office and other technologies used by Legal.
  • Must have very high skills in attention to detail, outstanding clerical skills, and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment and discretion and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated administrative, organizing and planning skills.
  • Good initiative and judgment required in determining course of action in the occasional absence of established procedures.
