PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Responsible for the account management, business processes and systems required for Gas Retail Electric Suppliers (GRESs) to register and succeed in a restructured retails environment in accordance with State legislation and rules and policies are approved by the Public Service commission (PSC) and BGE. Administration of BGE's Daily Requirement Services Programs. manage gas supplier relationships, nominations, and deliveries to ensure compliance in accordance with BGE's Gas Supplier Tariff, policies, and procedures. 

Note: Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24x7 coverage in support of storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Serve as subject matter expert (SME) responsible for account management activities related to the Daily Requirements Service (DRS) program for Retail Gas Suppliers (RGSs) which includes investigating, addressing and resolving gas supplier inquiries as it relates to billing, enrollments, supplier charges and other supplier transactions. Building strong relationships with gas suppliers and internal stakeholders. Providing support to internal and external customers and manage communications between Gas Choice and stakeholders.
• Ensure the daily functions, business processes and systems required for market participants to enroll in retail gas choice programs are fully documented and accomplished accurately and in accordance with BGE’s Gas Supplier Tariff, Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR), business rules and policies.   Management and coordination of gas supplier collateral requirements with internal and external stakeholders. 
• Manage supplier relationships and daily supplier gas nominations and deliveries to ensure supplier regulatory policies and procedural compliance to avoid BGE, supplier, and/or customer financial impact.  Provide additional day-to-day support to other analysts as necessary.
• Support the design, testing, implementation and documentation of the business processes and systems required to successfully implement new State legislative programs and strategic initiatives. 

POSITION SCOPE

The Gas Retail Choice program currently serves over 140,000 customers in BGE’s service territory.  Retail market design issues affect the entire BGE business model. Daily processes affect retail customer billing, short-and long-term load and financial forecasts and after-the-fact reporting and settlement throughout BGE.  BGE Gas Supplier Services continually works with senior members of Strategy & Regulatory Affairs, Regulatory & External Affairs, Customer Operations, Gas Operations and Gas Supply in performing daily responsibilities and supporting strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance or related field and minimum 5 - 8 years of experience or in lieu of bachelors degree, a minimum of 9-12 years of relevant experience.
• Strong interpersonal and excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to solve complex problems and make decisions

GAS SPECIFIC:

• Familiarity with Gas retail marketplace and BGE retails billing and supplier enrollments.
• Familiarity with Gas LDC Operations. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Pursuit or completion of MBA
• Utility industry experience.
• Familiarity with BGE retail tariffs 
• Knowledge of BGE'S Customer Care and Billing System (CC&B)
• Familiarity with Extensible Markup Language (XML)
