PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Plans, organizes and conducts theft of service investigations for residential, commercial and industrial customers. Coordinates investigative process including surveys, evidence gathering and cataloguing, case documentation, loss identification and associated case reporting. Works closely with field employees investigating suspected electric theft. Monitors and measures revenue tied to investigation results are billed accordingly. Supports the organization's goals by driving continuous improvement in the areas of financial responsibility and customer satisfaction. Interacts with all levels of the organization and external customers.
Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Accountability
- Plans, organizes and conducts theft of service investigations for residential, commercial and industrial customers.
- Documents investigative results. Catalogues and maintain evidence. Coordinates investigative process across internal and external entities.
- Determine revenue losses due to theft and prepare loss calculations based on investigative results and calculated electrical load factors.
- Designs and directs process improvements as needed to support the PHI Revenue Protection program.
- Responsible for ensuring safety procedures are adhered to both for internal and external customers while at investigation site.
- Performs assignments while acting independently, and may lead multi-discipline teams.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or related field with a minimum of 5-8 years experience or in lieu degree a minimum of 9-12 years of relevant experience.
- Metering/Billing knowledge preferred
- Detailed knowledge of applicable metering/billing standards, codes and practices unique to areas of expertise.
- Ability to communicate with all management levels.
- Knowledge of PC/desktop workstation applications Microsoft Word, Excel,Outlook.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge and ability to apply problem solving
Preferred:
- Graduate degree or graduate level work in
- Engineering, Business Administration, or Project Management
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices.
Qualifications
. - Plans, organizes and conducts compliance investigations for commercial and industrial customers to ensure that proper metering equipment is installed and billing determinates are correct so that accurate bills can be rendered. Position is responsible for issuing investigation findings to owning department along with due dates for resolution and following through to make sure that corrective actions have been completed.
