Exelon is looking to hire a Utility Technician
This position supports maintenance at the station by providing work support activities including scaffolding, insulation, painting, door maintenance, facility maintenance and tool room responsibilities
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Performs repair and maintenance work on buildings and grounds, services and maintains doors, walls, windows, lighting, and painting in power block.
Performs minor rigging, scaffolding, hoist inspections, and insulation/asbestos, and
Performs labor required to support building and facility maintenance
Performs tool room responsibilities: i.e. issuance of tools and test equipment
Operates forklift as required
Qualifications
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum:
Satisfactory completion of Navy Nuclear program or technical maintenance experience in the applicable field
OR
Two year Associates Degree in a technical field or post-secondary trade school program
OR
High School Diploma and Relevant Industrial Training and Experience
Ability to obtain unescorted Nuclear access
Ability to work different shifts and travel to various power plants
Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle
Ability to successfully complete the training requirements for a Utility Technician
Preferred:
Previous power plant experience
Scaffold installation and removal experience
Facilities maintenance experience
HVAC experience
Tool Room Experience
POSITION SCOPE
The utility Technician performs duties independently or in teams when direction is given the Lead Maintenance Technician or Supervisor. Decisions are made within prescribed operating procedures and guidelines. The Utility Technician must perform work in a safe manner resulting in no accidents, and in compliance with all environmental permits at all times.
