This position is an essential member of the Regulatory Affairs team which oversees relationship, case management, resolving escalated complaints, stakeholder and constituent concerns, and compliance. Its scope and primary purpose are to support PHI DC and Maryland jurisdiction compliance in the Regulatory and Government arena by coordinating regulatory compliance including maintaining and operating the Regulatory Compliance System, coordinating with internal personnel on the development of compliance filings, and making the appropriate regulatory filings. 

An ideal candidate will be an effective project coordinator that possess an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strict deadlines and be a strong relationship-builder and communicator. They must be a self-starter with the ability to proactively identify opportunities to assist driving continuous improvement in program development, project tracking and increased efficiencies. The Business Analyst needs to be a team player and works in partnership with the Regulatory Affairs and Legal team to support regulatory filings for both DC and Maryland jurisdictions. 
Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

•Maintains legal and regulatory compliance by researching and communicating requirements.
•Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
•Formats and edits letters, reports, presentations, charts, summaries, and all other correspondence from draft to final form.
•Provides timely and accurate support in compiling and responding to requests for records, including, petitions, discovery, and other legal matters
•Reviews legal documents, policies, procedures, forms, and other records for accuracy, and edits accordingly.
•Displays a high level of commitment, and ensures projects, requests, and other demands are met in a timely fashion.  
•Prioritizes tasks accordingly with minimal follow-up needed.
•Maintains rapport with regulatory personnel by arranging continuing contacts; resolving concerns.
•Performs administrative duties, including organization of files, tracking of action items, and travel/calendar management
•Acts as a project leader, such as monitoring and managing action items from meetings to ensure responsible parties’ complete tasks according to deadlines.
•Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
•Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
•Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc. and Adobe 
•Ability to build trust through organizational savvy and interpersonal skills, allowing for ease of collaboration and communication.
•Ability to learn through embracing challenges, persisting in the face of setbacks, and processing constructive feedback.
Bachelor’s degree (Business or Engineering preferred) AND 2 - 5 years related business experience, or in lieu of Bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 6 - 10 years relevant business experience is required.
General understanding of applicable standards, methods, processes and practices, business fundamentals, and performance metrics in the specific functional area supported by this position (e.g., asset management, electric or gas operations, customer service, transmission and substation, distribution system operations, regulatory and external affairs, transmission operations and planning).
General proficiency in standard software applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project), specialized business technologies and applications (e.g., workforce management, project management, PassPort, Brio, CIS, EPS, Business Objects, SAP planning, business modeling, forecasting, voice response unit, automatic call distributors, work management, outage management) to retrieve and analyze data in support of business needs.
Ability to provide general analysis and apply managerial accounting concepts, customer intelligence gathering, forecasting, staff planning, scheduling, analytical and statistical problem solving, financial, accounting, business and budget analysis.
General analytical skills for project evaluation including analysis of projects with economic, financial, risk and decision analysis.  Experience in business case development and ability to effectively present business cases to business unit leadership.
Customer driven with good oral and written communications skills and general analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
General knowledge of the practices, procedures and principles of performance analysis (trending, root cause and gap analysis) benchmarking and audit compliance.  Ability to analyze organizational data and problems, interpret and recommend alternative courses of action, and implement intervention strategies to attain performance targets.  
Bachelor’s degree and some relevant post-undergraduate coursework. 



This is an individual contributor position that woks under general supervision and frequently performs non-routine work.  

This position is expected to resolve most questions and problems through interaction with internal and/or external stakeholders, executives, directors, managers, and staff across the organization, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.   On occasion, may mentor less experienced colleagues.
May require working extended hours and/or shift work to support business operations.
