This positoin is open on location but a preference would be for Houston, Tx or Baltimore, MD. 
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB

This position will be dedicated to the Constellation business, a leading competitive energy company providing power, natural gas, renewable energy, and energy management products and services for homes and businesses across the continental United States.  As a critical member of the Constellation HR team, the recruiter will position Constellation as an employer of choice and create an effortless experience for candidates and hiring managers throughout the full recruiting lifecycle.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Lead full lifecycle recruiting, to include completing thorough intake meeting with the hiring manager and HR Business Partner for the client group, proactively sourcing a diverse slate of candidates, and screening candidates to ensure that only qualified and interested candidates are presented to hiring managers.
  • Position Constellation as an employer of choice and create an effortless experience for candidates and hiring manager by being highly responsive to qualified candidates, efficiently phone screening candidates and setting expectations for next steps in the process, coordinating interviews, conducting post-interview calibration sessions, and consulting with compensation and the HR Business Partner regarding offers.  Effectively leverage talent acquisition supporting resources (e.g., technology, talent acquisition coordinator) in support of creating an effortless experience.
  • Consult with hiring managers and HR Business Partners about methods and efforts to optimally address business / talent needs, including leveraging unique recruiting strategies to source a diverse candidate pool.  Identify and surface trends and critical issues, as well as recommendations, to the hiring manager and HR Business Partner.
  • Build and cultivate relationships with talent for current and future opportunities through sourcing of passive candidates via targeted advertisements, posting sites (e.g., CareerBuilder, Indeed), and social media (e.g., LinkedIn).  Partner with the University Relations team where opportunities exist to build pipeline for entry-level roles.
JOB SCOPE
  • Works under minimal supervision relying on knowledge, skills and judgment acquired through education and relevant experience to accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
  • Requires substantial experience in recruiting discipline to address moderately complex assignments and situations.
  • May provide informal leadership and guidance to less experienced staff.

 

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business related field or Human Resources discipline
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in high volume full lifecycle recruiting, preferably in a corporate environment, with demonstrated experience sourcing passive candidates through sources, such as LinkedIn)
  • Proficiency using a variety of online search/sourcing tools, ideally including ATS and CRM systems.
  • Experience in benefits, hiring and selection systems, and employment issues.
  • Consulting experience leading major change efforts, preferably in the area of strategic staffing initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a consultative recruiting partner
  • Excellent communication and verbal skills exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Customer service orientation, including high attention to detail and consistent communication with hiring managers and HR Business Partners
  • Strong business acumen

  • Thorough planning and organizing abilities
  • Must have ability to exercise good judgment with demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with TALEO.
  • Knowledge of EEO policy.
  • Knowledge of employment law and regulations especially as they pertain to hiring.
  • Previous experience in capturing metrics and producing various employment reports. Strong Excel skills preferred.
  • SPHR or PHR preferred
