The Analyst, Receivable Management is responsible for daily commercial collection activities in accordance with established policies, practices and procedures.

  • Responsible for collection of customer accounts receivable balances
  • Research and resolve unidentified customer payments
  • Research and reconcile discrepancies relating to customer accounts
  • Prepare reporting detailing at-risk/delinquent customers
  • Daily prioritization and managing collection activities calling on past-due customers using a variety of methods (email, letters, phone calls, 3rd party as-needed).
  • Participate in Customer account reviews with management
  • Coordinate collection activity with sales, marketing and customer care departments

This position has no supervisory duties or direct reports. The position has direct impact on Cash Collection activities and impacts company bad debt expense through collection activities performed. Must be able to make independent decisions when necessary. Delivers excellent customer service to internal/external customers, including but not limited to customers and internal. Interacts with departments such as Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Transaction Management and Billing. Extensive interaction with management as needed. Must be flexible in scheduling time and expected to be a participant in meetings. Limited decision making levels per DOFA. Supervison from department Manager required.


  • Completion of High School diploma or equivalent (such as GED)
  • At least 2 years related experience including commercial collections experience.
  • Knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Demonstratable verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical skills, attention to details and problem solving techniques
  • Must be able to make independent decisions
  • Must be able to work in an open & team-oriented environment

  • Four year degree: equivalent experience will be considered on a case by case basis
  • Commercial collections experience within the energy industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)
  • Excellent and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills, exerienced negotiation skills, strong attention to details and problem solving techniques
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with a main focus prioritizing workload and multi-task as necessary
  • Must be able to make independent decisions and escalate issues to management when appropriate
