This position serves as the subject matter expert (SME) on Exelon Audit Services (EAS) data analytics, managing the design, development and implementation of business intelligence, data analytics and digital solutions (reporting, dashboards and data visualization, advanced analytics, digital and mobile analytics, business application development, and automation) across the full suite of EAS services while providing programmatic and ad-hoc data solutions from core Exelon systems. Provides day-to-day leadership/coaching to a team performing extraction and analysis on company-wide data to identify trends, patterns, and insights, and enable data-driven, risk-informed decision making for our auditors and business partners. The purpose of this role is to also serve as a consultant/partner, through EAS’s Business Enablement and Advisory services, to senior leadership teams across BSC and our various OpCos to assess their data and analytics-related challenges, then enable their analytics capabilities with Exelon standard tools, technologies and solutions to further optimize their control environment. As a SME, this role understands Exelon’s applications, platforms and databases, which serve as data sources, including the associated process risks and controls. The SME is responsible for employee development and capability building programs to upskill EAS on data literacy concepts and data analytics tools and technologies. This position is also responsible for defining and operationalizing the department’s data analytics strategy, using benchmarking and best practices as standards.
Additionally, individual could be responsible for the development, coordination and execution of core assurance and business enablement activities, including business risk assessment activities, monitoring and evaluating the quality and content of work performed by the Audit Services team, coaching and developing of cross functional team members through direct reporting relationships and engagement relationships, and serving as a liaison to business partners to ensure that the companies risk management, governance and internal control processes are operating effectively.
Individual will support strategic business initiatives and will be responsible for expressing opinions and providing insight on the adequacy and effectiveness of operations and the control environment while identifying and communicating continuous improvement, control optimization and risk mitigation opportunities to business partners.
1.    Lead key business intelligence, data analytics and digital technology projects to support core assurance and business enablement activities providing consultation, analysis, data interpretation and overall project management as needed. Supervise internal and/or external resources (direct reports, contractors, matrixed or project team members, etc.). Responsible for stakeholder updates and management of relationships with internal and external support groups (e.g. IT, business partners, senior leaders, consultants, outside vendors, etc.), with respect to data and analytics-related work and services provided.
2.    Act as an internal consultant for EAS and organizational stakeholders by applying data analytics expertise to develop and articulate recommendations to address data and analytics-related challenges. Provide insight on the adequacy and effectiveness of the control environment while identifying and communicating continuous improvement, control optimization and risk mitigation opportunities to business partners and EAS related to data analytics. Includes the preparation and delivery of dashboards and data visualizations to support formal communications.
3.    Develop and execute the EAS Analytics capability building program to increase the department’s ability to understand, use and communicate with data, and deliver hands-on training for select data analytics tools and technologies. Provide active coaching and support of others to build EAS team capabilities in the use of analytics, data visualization and data modeling techniques. Enable a high performing learning organization. 
4.    Define and operationalize the department’s data analytics strategy, using benchmarking and best practices as standards. This includes the management and database administration of a dedicated EAS data analytics platform and database which houses data from across Exelon for detailed analysis (Accounts Payable, HR, Utility Billing, etc.).


•    Undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems/Technology, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Finance or related subject area
•    8+ years of relevant experience, including 2-3 years internal or external audit experience
•    Proficient in several data analysis and business intelligence tools (Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, Power Query, Power Pivot, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, etc.)
•    In-depth knowledge of relational databases (Hyperion, Oracle BI, Business Objects, etc.) and database design, including proficiency in SQL
•    Expansive knowledge of ETL processes, metrics, data management and business intelligence strategies
•    Experience developing and implementing business applications, mobile and digital analytics and automation solutions leveraging the Microsoft Power Platform
•    Strong business acumen, with proven ability in data analysis and interpretation, statistical application, and modeling
•    Outstanding consultative, critical thinking and analytic skills with ability to operate strategically and build effective partnerships across multiple stakeholder groups
•    Excellent planning, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to successfully handle multiple concurrent priorities simultaneously; attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy; ability to thrive in dynamic, fast paced environment
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex data and analytical methodology/insights to a non-technical audience
•    High standards for customer service and the ability to build effective working relationships
•    Working knowledge or experience with IT processes and IT general controls (e.g., access management, change management, incident management)
•    Demonstrated understanding of testing concepts for IT dependent controls and IT general controls
•    Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including SharePoint, Excel and PowerPoint
•    Graduate Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems/Technology, Business, Finance or with similar technical or quantitative emphasis
•    Relevant professional accreditation (e.g. CIA, CISA, CFE, CPA, PMP, Six Sigma)
•    Working knowledge of COSO Framework and Sarbanes-Oxley Act
•    Training in research methodology or scientific method
