This job is responsible for conducting independent assessment of structured transactions, calculating capital and risk cost and risk premiums, investigating alternative deal structures and hedging strategies, reporting Deal Review findings, maintaining Deal Review schedule and reporting deal statistics.

- Independently review deal structure and pricing methodologies

- Assess risk implications, investigate alternative deal structures and hedging strategies, provide market/liquidity/credit risk pricing, and calculate price capital costs and risk premiums

- Report Deal Review findings and escalating issues to CRO leadership team

- Communicating Risk considerations to commercial teams and suggest risk mitigants

- Update Deal Review schedule and communicate deal statistics

- Ensure the timely booking of all executed non-standard transactions


- Review deal structure and pricing methodology

- Assess risk implications and conduct risk pricing

- Communicate Deal Review findings

- Maintain Deal Review schedule and statistics

- Maintain industry knowledge (e. g. , monitor market rule changes and regulatory risks)


- Bachelor's degree with related major

- Minimum 2 year of experience in energy and/or financial risk management

- Proven ability in researching, testing and evaluating new modeling approaches

- Excellent knowledge of energy fundamentals, energy commodity products, national and regional energy market rules

- Good knowledge of mathematical finance, derivative valuation, numerical techniques, and energy commodities

- Strong organization and time-management skills with ability to prioritize, multi-task, and adapt to changing needs of the business

- Experience in Excel modeling and PowerPoint.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to discuss technical subjects with a wide variety of audiences


- Experience using risk assessment analytics and models preferred

- A motivated self starter and creative thinker with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues at all levels of the organization

- Driven to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external partners.

- Strong quantitative skills with advanced degree in economics, quantitative finance, mathematics, physics, engineering or equivalent quantitative disciplines

- Strong interpersonal skills

- Ability to resolve conflict

- Demonstrated ability to perform responsibilities under time pressure with a high degree of accuracy, to prioritize multiple tasks effectively, build consensus, and adapt to evolving business needs


- Reports to the Manage/Supervisor, Deal Review within the Risk Analytics team

- Coordinate closely with Origination, Sales, Pricing, Corporate Development, Portfolio Strategies, Finance and all Risk functions
