This position is responsible for administering the Risk Control policy for the commercial organization to ensure the adherence to established Risk Management procedures. This role is vital to ensuring that all risks are properly identified, characterized, valued, and reported on a consistent and timely basis. The Sr. Analyst Risk Control is responsible for the development of independent forward curves utilizing broker, consensus and other external data to ensure proper risk reporting.

1.    Responsible for market data aggregation and for communicating to and reporting with the business units and other stakeholders.
2.    Responsible for Price verification which validates internal price curves (domestic and international markets) using market consensus data and broker quotes.
3.    Develop an understanding of, and actively participate in, the development of Corporate hedging strategies, portfolio management, valuations, risk analysis and report preparation for Risk Management Committee, Senior Management and the Board of Directors.
4.    Participate in the development and implementation of risk policies and procedures.
5.    Provide validation of financial controls related to curve marking in support of Exelon’s Sarbanes Oxley compliance, internal and external audits.
6.    Monitor and respond to business needs by staying abreast of developments in the energy markets and within the organization and provide analysis/reports to meet those needs    


•    Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Business required.
•    5 -10 years of experience in a business related position.
•    Strong organizational and verbal communication skills.
•    Strong math and analytical skills with attention to detail.
•    Ability to develop spreadsheet applications and learn other specialized software products.
•    Demonstrated ability to work closely with peers in a teamwork environment.
•    Experience with financial or energy markets preferred.
•    Knowledge of programming in MATLAB, Python, R, C++, SQL, VBA, DAX (PowerBI)
