PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
ComEd
Leads a team of analysts, engineers, and project managers in the support of legislative efforts pertaining to DER, performing advanced planning analytics, developing and deploying DER analytics tools, and preparing comprehensive reports. Provides support to internal stakeholders (Legal, Regulatory, and Capacity Planning) stakeholders pertaining to DER efforts and collaborates with externally facing partners including Professional Associations, Educational Institutions and National Laboratories.
Conducts complex modeling and development of business cases and other general financial and operational analysis for current and future DER Engineering Initiatives. Assure the development and effective implementation of strategic initiatives. Assure the focus and attainment of business goals and objectives. Develop and maintain an environment that promotes diversity and inclusion, and high productivity.
Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

POSITION SCOPE
ComEd
- Manage a workforce of 5 to 8 professionals composed of mostly degreed engineers.
- Develop, own and maintain business cases and models for current and future initiatives. Obtain buy in and support from internal stakeholder groups including but not limited to regulatory, energy strategy and policy, capacity planning and other engineering departments.
- Lead and manage high profile cross-organizational projects. Will have responsibility for managing the contractual relationships established with the various project partners and the on time delivery of project deliverables.
- Prepare periodic and as needed status reports on the projects and initiatives led by DER Engineering
- Participate in industry leading activities including writing articles and participating in working groups or task forces.
- Operate independently with little or no supervision
- Regular contact with senior management, directors and managers in EED Transmission and Distribution Operations and Customer Service areas, External Affairs, Regulatory, Legal and Exelon Energy Delivery.
