PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION 

Provides governance, oversight, support and perform for excellence in instruction, the systematic approach to training, and the development of leadership training for Exelon.  Provides oversight and assessment of operating company instructional staff performance and leads initiatives to achieve and sustain excellent performance.  Identifies and implements industry best-practices in the systematic approach to training.

Qualifications

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Leads and manages the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evauation of the EU common  supervisor and leader training programs.  Serves as a master facilitator for leadership training programs and provides train-the-trainer/coaching to executives and other senior leaders that support the facilitation of training.

Leads and  manages the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evauation of the EU common SAT training program for all instructional staff. 

Provides oversight and assessment of Exelon instructor performance, complaince with the systematic approach to training and recommends solutions to identified gaps.  Drives excellence in instructional techniques and the systematic approach to training (SAT). Aligns the operating companies on the implementation of industry best practices.

Provides oversight of Exelon site instructional designers.  Drives excellence in training material reviews. Drives instructional designer ownership of the systematic approach to trainings.

Partners with company executives and key stakeholders to analyze operating company performance issues to develop and lead business strategy for the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of leadership and instructor training programs that sustain excellent performance.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum:

• Must have a minimum of 8 years total experience associated with utilities or power production.
• Must have experience leading training program.
• BS/BA in a instructional design/education/training or business
• Ability to manage, implement and/or develop various training programs and associated initiatives.
• Expert-level classroom facilitation skills
• Experience in the implemntation of instructor training programs
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and written
• Expert-level knowledge of  the systematic approach to training (SAT/ADDIE)
• Meet the requirements of Company, drug, alcohol, and medical testing policies and/or regulations.Demonstrated knowledge of industry human performance error reduction tools and human performance programs.
• Ability to lead project teams.
• Ability to lead by influence.

PREFERRED:

• Experience as an Instructional Techologist
• Experience implementing train-the-trainer programs

• Experience providing coaching to leadership and strong influencing skills
• Budgeting knowledge, project management experience
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Effective in working with regulatory agencies concerning training related issues
• Master’s degree in education, training, instructional design or organizational psychology
