PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Office of the CIO (CIO) is charged with leading the IT transformation and building an organization that ensures the standardization of processes and tools, that enable the effective and efficient delivery of IT solutions to our business partners. The Service Portfolio Management and Projects Office (SPMPO) within the OCIO plays an instrumental role in driving IT wide project, portfolio, resource, financial and organizational change management standards, processes, tools and governance that consistently deliver the desired business outcomes.
The Manager, IT Project Management will be responsible for helping organizations and teams increase their project management capability and maturity through the implementation and evolution of project management standards, practices, training, systems, tools, metrics and support. The Manager, IT Project Management will make significant contributions to initiatives designed to improve and drive successful technology project delivery. This role will lead an organization that sets project management standards across Exelon IT, with supporting tools and templates. This leader will support change adoption through training and extensive stakeholder outreach efforts to improve project delivery success.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead functional team responsible for defining and implementing standards for project governance across IT, drive consistency in process and tools to support adherence to project management standards for improved project outcomes and project managers maturity improvement in alignment with the IT Strategy. 35%
Develop and maintain relationships with IT and business stakeholders, ensure lessons learned from business processes and requirements are identified and well understood for continuous enhancement and improvement of project management enabling tools and processes. 25%
Lead creation and update of Project Governance - Management Model process and procedures to support standardization and compliance across IT. 15%
Evaluate performance and provide coaching for IT personnel. Promote diversity and foster teamwork, collaboration, and a learning organization. Provide input on development and retention processes for IT employees. 15%
Drive the governance for PPM tool to support operational transformation across for all PPM functions. 10%
