The Sr Compliance Specialist will ensure Assure Constellation and Exelon Power adheres to Independent System Operators(ISO), North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and Regional Entities compliance requirements. Prepare reviews and reports of compliance. Ensure that Constellation and Exelon Power activities are performed in compliance with applicable procedures, standards and requirements. Identifies and provides recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives by developing and implementing internal assessments. Participate and support Exelon Corporation compliance program.

The Sr Compliance Specialist must develop a strong technical understanding of the ISO rules & Reliability Standards themselves as well as the forums where they are debated. Evaluate and determine compliance for Constellation/Exelon Power/ Exelon Corporate activities. Recommend corrective actions to address inadequacies that are discovered during assessments, including recommendations that are administrative or functional in nature. Will typically involve acting in a consulting or advisory capacity and gather commitments of other management personnel in the organization. Ensure timely execution of any necessary notification or compliance submission is imperative along with facilitating communication on important relevant activities to all impacted teams.

The Senior Compliance Specialist acts as a liaison to ISO, NERC and the Reliability Regions for compliance issues, tracks ISO, NERC and Reliability Region activates and consults/advises key Exelon personnel in order to develop strategic direction for compliance to ISO, NERC and Reliability Region standards. The Senior Compliance Specialist generally operates with wide latitude on action and decision-making.

  • Evaluate, determine, and report EXGN compliance through applicable procedures, standards and requirements. Recommend enhancements to current practices and procedures to drive continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for evaluation, tracking and reporting of EXGN/ Exelon Corporate compliance with ISO, NERC and Regional Entity Standards
  • Responsible for performing self assessments of EXGN/ Exelon Corporate compliance to procedures, policies and actions taken as result of CRT, RCI, ACE or Condition Report corrective actions
  • Create mitigation plans based on Self Reports and monitor the status of mitigating steps through Action Tracking and Quarterly Update on each Mitigation Plan with Regional Entities and other regulatory entities.
  • Perform quarterly assessments of EXGN plants compliance with each standard EXGN/ Exelon Corporate has to comply with based on registrations with Regional Entities.
  • Ensure necessary work activities for NERC Compliance are initiated in the Work Management system, executed using procedures and tracked in systems with documented completion evidence.
  • Provide analysis and support to leadership for the NERC Compliance Program including ongoing reporting of performance improvements, organizational initiatives and compliance related communications.
  • Lead/participate in compliance audits. Plan, prepare and execute audit tasks and support audit teams.
  • Represent EXGN/ Exelon Corporate on NERC and RFC committees to facilitate benchmarking and continuous improvement.
  • Assist IT in the development and maintenance of tools needed to track compliance, support audits and store necessary information and approvals
