PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Responsible for the management of environmental aspects of multi-year utility projects (transmission, distribution, substation, etc.) and/or Manufactured Gas Plant (MGP), Superfund, and Brownfield remediation projects. Position has direct responsibility for contractor oversight, identifying environmental scope and risk for each project, securing permits from environmental agencies, and oversight of environmental compliance during construction. Position has direct responsibility for achieving project goals safely within approved project schedule and cost parameters. Position has direct responsibility for developing and maintaining relationships with Regulatory Agencies, municipalities and third parties (developers, property owners, etc) to facilitate permitting and construction phase compliance and implementation of remedial strategies when assigned environmental cleanup projects. Additional responsibilities include technical review of environmental reports, quarterly financial reporting and review of contractor invoices.
Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24x7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

Develop and implement project permitting strategies, plans, schedules and budgets to safely achieve project objectives of assigned projects in accordance with established scope, schedule, budget and process parameters. |

Manage contractor performance to contract and scope documents. Provide direction and leadership to contractors, consultants and project team members. Interface with internal stakeholder organizations as well as project reporting to EU Senior Management. |

Conduct project reviews including field visits to monitor compliance, resolve conflicts and develop recovery plans including risk/contingency analysis. |

Interface with leadership to present program and project status updates. |

Develop and implement outreach and communication strategies with external stakeholders including negotiating and influencing agreements with third parties such as property owners, municipalities, state and county agencies. |
