PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Responsible for rendering routine and complex electric and gas bills for industrial and large commercial customers by compiling data from various sources. This position requires knowledge of rate structures, special customer agreements, and the Primary Accounts Communication System (PAC). Specialist works closely with internal/external customers. Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Performs complex analysis, calculation, and preparation of large commercial and industrial customers electric and gas bills and integration of billing data into the PAC, CIS and Summary Billing Systems

- Resolves customer requests and inquiries, performs PAC rate analysis, provides statistical performance information, and implements corrective measures and account reconciliation.

- Handles special requests and inquiries related to billing for customized products and services for large commercial and industrial customers.

- Calculates and prepares requests for payment for customers for co-generation agreements.

- Operates the MV90 computer system to collect usage data and analyzes data provided by the MV90 system.

- Manages billing data used within the PAC system to handle exceptional conditions: e. g. , conjunctive billing and retroactive rate and rider changes.

- Processes complex billing based on unique contracts, e. g. , City Of Philadelphia.

- Identifies, designs and develops process improvements.

- Processes installation, transfer, and cancellation of service for large commercial and industrial customers.

- Performs analysis of customer metering, rider and tax agreements.

- Monitors the billing system to assure that customers receive timely accurate bills.



POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Minimum:

- High School Diploma and equivalent 3-5 years job related experience.

- Knowledge of electric and gas Tariff

- Computer skills including Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and some mainframe TSO/ISPF

- Working knowledge of the PAC system.

- Willingness to work shifts other than the standard 7: 00-5: 00 and overtime when required.

- Excellent oral and written communication skill
Preferred:

- Knowledge of Easytrieve

- Bachelors degree in Business or a related field.

- Working knowledge of the CIS and Summary Billing system
