PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Senior Business Development Manager (SR BDM ) and the Business Development Manage - Regional Power positions assists on delivering Constellation’s go to market strategy. These positions primarily focus on acquiring new business for our retail C&I power
division utilizing Constellation’s various products and services. The primary
performance objectives are to meet or exceed their assigned new business
origination and renewal quota. In this role you will be required to conduct such duties as prospecting,
meeting directly with customers, generating proposals, following up on
marketing campaigns. The position will work closely with Account Managers and
interact with other internal functional groups such as Operations, Supply,
Sales Support, Legal/Contracts, Billing/Collections, and Commodities Management
Group.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Acquire
new business for Constellations C&I Power division
utilizing Constellation’s products and services to meet or exceed
assigned quota and renewal quota.
- Working
with Account Manager support, renew Customers to meet or exceed renewal
goals for originated customers.
- Manage
and build strong professional relationships directly with customers and
internal stakeholders.
- Carry
out sales related tasks such as prospecting, generating proposals and
supporting market campaigns.
Qualifications
POSITION SPECIFICATIONSMinimum:
Sr. BDM
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business (Marketing or Finance) or Engineering or other related area from an accredited four-year university. Master’s Degree Preferred.
- At least 8 years of experience in competitive power sales to C&I customers.
- Working knowledge of the competitive power industry, ISO’s, markets and utilities (and related tariffs).
- Ability to identify, prospect and contact high-level decision makers in respective businesses and cultivate relationships.
- Excellent organization, communication and presentation skills. Experience presenting in front of groups, C-Level executives and senior decision makers.
- Ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed.
- Strong analytical, technical and strategic thinking skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and experience using SalesForce CRM.
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed to meet customers and internal stakeholders.
- All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English
