PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The EME Partner Strategy and Development, Principal reports directly to the Director of Efficiency Made Easy (EME). This role is responsible for the development, and execution of Constellation’s EME strategy relating to third party channels across the Constellation Platform. The Principal will act as the team lead in the development and delivery of the value proposition of new solution offerings, as well as with the transition of new products and technologies from the partnership team to the EME team and EME partners. The Principal is responsible for running performance metrics and analytics of EME sales and designing/implementing tools, processes and best practices to help improve performance. In addition to EME Strategy, the Principal will also have responsibility for developing and ensuring the productivity of partner relationships formed with energy efficiency project implementors. There will be an emphasis on efficiency, volume, and throughput.  Lastly, this role is expected to support Constellations core values, D&I and commit to the coaching and development of the staff reporting to this position.

 

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES


  • Track and Analyze Key Performance Metrics within EME partner sales. Provide detailed analysis at mid-year and year end.
  •  Develop and maintain partner relationships with top EME Partners. Liaise with partners to solve issues, communicate needs, and create synergy. Support Strategic and Transaction EME BDMs with partner relationship management.
  •  Act as a team lead in the development and delivery of the value position of new solution offerings to the EME team as well as to partners. Help in the transition of new products and technologies from the partnership team to the EME team.
  •  Manage and support Constellations Channel Partner Network. Survey and take action on feedback
  •  Design and Implement Constellations Partner Strategy as it relates to solutions that adds value to Constellation across retail and other business lines.
  •  Design and Implement tools, processes and best practices to support key performance metrics with partner sales/strategy as it relates to solutions.
  •  Support Constellations Values and D&I goals

  

POSITION SCOPE

 

          This role will be responsible for the following:

  •  Tracking and Analyzing Key Performance Metrics within EME partner sales.
  •  - Act as a team lead in the development and delivery of the value position of new solution offerings to the EME team as well as to partners.
  • Help in the transition of new products and technologies from the partnership team to the EME team.
  • Growing our TGM through EME channels and expand our solutions sales via our EME Partners
  • Developing our channels to top tier partners while deepening our relationships with our partners. Continue to enhance their experience with Constellation.
  • Liaise with partners to solve issues, communicate needs, and create synergy.
  • Designing and Implementing tools, processes and best practices to support key performance metrics with partner sales/strategy
  • Supporting Strategic and Transaction EME BDMs with partner relationship management
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new strategic alliances that will successfully identify and implement energy efficiency projects, and contribute incremental revenue to Constellation’s retail energy business.
  • Build and validate bilateral business cases for perspective alliance partners
  • Initiate, negotiate, and execute Strategic Alliance Partnership terms and agreements
  • Establish and manage alliance relationships to productivity and performance goals
  • Track and Analyze Key Performance Metrics within EME partner sales. Provide detailed analysis at mid-year and year end.
  • Collaborate with management, and sales to ensure an adequate national coverage of alliance relationships to support regional performance goals.
  • Work with marketing and sales to identify required collateral, outreach, and lead generation activities to support alliance success
  • Develop, and lead partner strategic planning meetings/workshops to ensure aligned business goals and objectives, effective sales engagements processes, and overall marketing position tactics.
  • Facilitate, document, and communicate both internally and externally lead generation and sales engagement plans
  • Create and execute an Alliance Partnership Success plan for each Alliance. Review and modify this with Alliance and Constellation leadership bi-annually.
  • Supervise or be the primary delivery vehicle for Alliance partner enablement, training, and productivity sessions.
  • Oversee Constellation and Strategic Alliance Partners collaborative marketing activities and collateral development.
  • Be the primary point of contact for Alliance. Directly provide or coordinate alliance partner customer service.
  • Develop and Distribute Quarterly Newsletter
  • There will be an emphasis on efficiency, volume, and throughput.

         


Qualifications

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

 

Minimum:

 

  • 5 years of specific Energy Industry Experience
  • 3 years of channel sales management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or equivalent.
  • Highly proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills to function in a team environment and to maintain rapport with channel partners.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, and independent decision-making.
  • Ability to effectively build and maintain relationships with internal customers, and channel partners
  • Flexibility on the job and the ability to work under multiple, daily deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Energy Efficiency Solutions; including lighting, mechanical systems, VFDs, and controls

 

 

Preferred:

 

  • 10 years of Energy Industry Experience w/ 5 years of direct experience in Channel Sales.
  • MBA or higher.
  • 5 years of sales experience in Energy Efficiency Solutions; including lighting, mechanical systems, VFDs, and controls
  • Strong Understanding of Corporate/customer Sustainability Goals and Objectives
