PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

This senior level sales professional primary responsibility is to provide technical sales support for Constellation offered solutions to BDM’s in support of C&I customers and prospects.   They may have existing relationships but will need to create new relationships with senior level decision makers of C&I customers and customers in support of solution sales. This individual will be responsible for the support of acquiring new business and implementing energy efficiency and sustainability strategies with sophisticated energy users. They will act as team lead in the development and delivery of the value position of new solution offerings to the solutions team as well as customers and partners. Help in the transition of new products and technologies from the partnership team to the solutions team and ultimately to BDM’s.  They will have a comprehensive understanding of the solutions platform and can position the various products and service with customers and partners, in support of BDM’s.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Support of C&I BDM’s in the implementation of direct customer and partner opportunities for data analytics and electrification initiatives. 

Organize and oversee innovative outreach strategies including webinars, sales campaigns and external media to build pipelines and increase transaction flow.

Understand customers business goals, budget objectives, risk tolerance and work with internal and external resources to develop solution strategies that match the customer’s needs, working to support these strategies with BDM’s.

Outstanding communication skills with the ability to speak in front of groups and C-Level executives and other key decision makers.

Work closely with the Partnership group to have a joint, organized and seamless plan to introduce and pilot new products and then ramp them up with the retail sales team.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

 

Minimum:

·    Bachelors Degree or higher in Business (Marketing or Finance) or Engineering.

·    At least 8 years of experience in energy/electricity markets with an emphasis on marketing and/or sales.

·    Business-to-business energy sales experience in electric and gas commodity

·    Experience and senior level contacts at businesses   

·    Experience presenting and closing high-level Fortune 500 customers

  • Excellent organization and communication skills, the ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed

·    Proficiency with MS Office Suite and experience using databases. Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions.

·    All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English.

·    Knowledge of Energy Efficiency Solutions; including lighting, mechanical systems, VFDs, and controls

  • Understanding of Corporate/customer Sustainability Goals and Objectives
Preferred:

·    10 years of Energy Industry Experience

·    MBA or higher.

  • 5 years of sales experience in selling commodity with strong understanding of developing market trends including sustainability, analytics, energy efficiency, storage and electrification
