PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

This sales professional should have existing or ability to create new relationships with senior level decision makers with C&I customers with a focus on large companies. This individual will be responsible for acquiring new business and implementing energy efficiency and sustainability strategies with sophisticated energy users. They will act as team lead in the development and delivery of the value position of new solution offerings to the solutions team as well as customers and partners. Help in the transition of new products and technologies from the partnership team to the solutions team.  They will have a comprehensive understanding of the solutions platform and can position the various products and service with customers and partners, in an effective manner.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES


  • Development of direct customer and partner opportunities for implementing energy efficiency and sustainability strategies
  • Develop and maintain partner relationships with assigned EME Partners.
  • Understand customers business goals, budget objectives, risk tolerance and work with internal and external resources to develop solution strategies that match the customer’s needs.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to speak in front of groups and C-Level executives and senior decision makers.
  • Willingness to learn and lead the team effort to deliver the value position of new solution offerings to customers, partners, and Constellation team members. Mentoring more junior EME BDM’s.
  • Support Constellations Values and D&I goals

 

POSITION SCOPE:

 

Level and depth of supervisory duties:  NA

Budget accountability, impact on asset management, and organization revenue:  T&E budget accountability

Level of independence, decision-making authority or strategic planning accountability: limited

Internal and external contact relationships: High degree of both internal and external contact/relationships

Number of direct reports (Span of Control): Works under supervision of Manager or Director

 


Qualifications

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

 

Minimum:

 Bachelors Degree or higher in Business (Marketing or Finance) or Engineering.

 At least 2 years of experience in energy/electricity markets with an emphasis on marketing and/or sales.

 Business-to-business energy sales experience in electric and gas commodity, demand response, solar and energy efficiency products.

 Experience and senior level contacts at businesses   

 Experience presenting and closing high-level Fortune 500 customers

 Excellent organization and communication skills, the ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed

• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and experience using databases

 All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English.

 Understanding of Corporate/customer Sustainability Goals and Objectives

 

 

Preferred:


• Knowledge of Energy Efficiency Solutions; including lighting, mechanical systems, VFDs, and controls
