The purpose of this specialized position is to lead the design, development and implementation of business intelligence, data analytics and digital solutions (reporting, dashboards and data visualization, advanced analytics, digital and mobile analytics, business application development, and automation) across the full suite of EAS services while developing programmatic and ad-hoc data solutions from core Exelon systems. The position requires advanced technical skills to perform extraction and analysis on company-wide data to identify trends, patterns, and insights, and enable data-driven, risk-informed decision making for our auditors and business partners. The purpose of this role is to also enable business partners across BSC and our various OpCos by developing and embedding data analytics solutions in business processes to solve data and analytics-related challenges and further optimize the control environment. The position will understand Exelon’s applications, platforms and databases, which serve as data sources, including the associated risks and controls.


Additionally, individual could be responsible for the coordination and execution of core assurance and business enablement activities, including business risk assessment activities, design and operational effectiveness testing, and evaluation of control failures while serving as a liaison to business partners to ensure that the companies risk management, governance and internal control processes are operating effectively.


Individual will support other business initiatives and will be responsible for expressing opinions and providing insight on the adequacy and effectiveness of the control environment while identifying and communicating continuous improvement, control optimization and risk mitigation opportunities to business partners.

  1. Lead the design, development and implementation of business intelligence, data analytics and digital technology solutions to support core assurance and business enablement activities. Includes the preparation and delivery of dashboards and data visualization summaries to support formal communications and informed insights on the adequacy and effectiveness of business processes and internal controls.
  2. Support other EAS and business initiatives to continuously improve internal processes and optimize the control environment. Includes developing and embedding data analytics solutions in business processes to solve data and analytics-related challenges.
  3. Provide active coaching and support of others to build EAS team capabilities in the use of analytics, data visualization and data modeling techniques. Enable a high performing learning organization.
  4. Management and database administration of a dedicated EAS data analytics platform and database which houses data from across Exelon for detailed analysis (Accounts Payable, HR, Utility Billing, etc.).


  • Undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems/Technology, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Finance or related subject area
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in several data analysis and business intelligence tools (Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, Power Query, Power Pivot, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, etc.)
  • Knowledge of relational databases, database design, and experience writing complex SQL, includes creating connections to various data sources
  • Knowledge of ETL processes, metrics, data and business intelligence strategies
  • Experience developing business applications, mobile and digital analytics and automation solutions
  • Proven ability in data analysis and interpretation
  • Strong critical thinking and analytic skills
  • Proven ability to successfully handle multiple concurrent priorities simultaneously; attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy; ability to thrive in dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex data and analytical methodology/insights to a non-technical audience
  • High standards for customer service and the ability to build effective working relationships
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including SharePoint, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Works independently
  • Relevant professional accreditation (e.g. CIA, CISA, CFE, CPA, PMP, Six Sigma)
  • 1-2 years of risk and controls, or audit experience
  • Working knowledge of COSO Framework and Sarbanes-Oxley Act
  • Working knowledge or experience with IT processes and IT general controls (e.g., access management, change management, incident management)
  • Demonstrated understanding of testing concepts for IT dependent controls and IT general controls
  • Training in research methodology or scientific method
