The Sr. Services Analyst, IT Disaster Recovery directs IT disaster response/crisis management activities in compliance with the IT Management Model Documents and helps provide and coordinate disaster preparedness training with respect to Exelon's information technology, helping ensure recovery can happen within the required RTO and RPO objectives.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Work with IT Infrastructure, and Business Continuity management to ensure that the IT Disaster Recovery (DR Plans) are in-compliance to drive disaster recovery strategy and procedures
Establish and maintain the overall DR plans for Exelon that involve executing all DR procedures and understand their interdependencies
Establish and maintain detailed DR communications and control plans through the change management process
Evaluating the current DR test strategy and environment and providing recommendations to close gaps and/or improve the DR test capabilities.
Work with the IT technical staff to ensure that disaster recovery solutions are adequate, in place, maintained and tested as part of the regular operational life cycle.
Develop and understand all testing necessary for a successful DR drill.
Managing, scheduling and leading all annual DR failover exercises, including reporting on results and applying post-exercise lessons learned.
Ensure that all High Business Value applications are tested on an annual basis and results are kept for continual improvement
Provide ongoing feedback for risk management, mitigation, and prevention
Provide a monthly report on Disaster Recovery activities to senior management
Act as a liaison for auditing and examination of disaster recovery processes
Help ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations
Experience with Incident/Problem Management, Change Management, Asset and Configuration Management.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, information security, or a related IT field is required. Certification in Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Certified Functional Continuity Professional (CFCP).
Require 5+ years of experience in IT operations implementing and supporting applications and middleware solutions in a data center environment. Must have 2+ years of experience dedicated to disaster recovery or business continuity operations management in a large corporation.
Require experience managing large projects.
Familiarity with DR program life cycle plans and source deliverables is important to this job.
Require having a good understanding of current recovery solutions, high availability architectures and mainframe architectures is needed. Expert in IT recovery, application testing and BIA development.
Must understand IT networking and storage architecture. Must have a good knowledge of crisis communications and the ability to handle stressful situations under pressure.
Experience working with various groups across many teams: applications, infrastructure, and the business.
Require excellent oral and written communication skills to convey plans, exercises and activities.
Must be able to interact with technical, non-technical and management staff on a professional level.
Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner, with a strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Ability to travel to domestic locations across the United States to conduct annual DR drills
