This position will be a part of a focused group contributing to Exelon’s enterprise-wide technology evolution. You will be part of the team building the foundation for the continuous development and improvement of the internal and external customers experiences. This is a management role that will provide an opportunity to lead and mentor in various project efforts and can contribute to further professional and personal development.


This role is highly focused on various customer testing platforms, with a concentration on Oracle’s Customer Care and Billing Application.  You will perform activities related to all aspects of customer system testing through the analysis of high-quality solutions, products and processes.  Additional work around documentation, reporting and requirements gathering and documenting practices and methodologies will be required.


This is a fast-paced team with the potential for days when we, as a team, may be required to work extended hours and/or shift work to support our effort and meet assignment deliverables.  This doesn’t mean we won’t take the time to celebrate our victories, incorporate fun days to volunteer, and fun team building events.  There will be opportunity to work across teams and take on new tasks outside of the routine work that will give you the opportunity to grow and learn new skills.



  • Lead and manage IT staff and resources in accordance with IT Business Plan
    • For projects: Plan and manage scope, schedule, and budget for defined deliverables in accordance with IT project management standards.
    • For operations/application maintenance: Plan and manage to agreed upon service level agreements and budgets.      
  • Establish milestones, anticipate issues and monitor adherence to project scope, requirements and design document, schedules. Maintain project documentation.
  • Lead and manage IT projects and associated system integrators to deliver projects of medium to high complexity.   
  • Operate utilizing standard processes as defined within the Management Model.
  • Oversee process improvement efforts and ensure adoption of standard processes and procedures that deliver sustainable top quartile cost and performance levels.   
  • Establish, maintain, and enhance relationships with business and IT partners. Communicate status to key stakeholders on a regular basis.     
  • Maintain current business knowledge/acumen, including application of technology solutions to deliver business results. 
  • Evaluate performance and provide coaching for IT personnel. Participate in career development and succession planning processes. Promote diversity and foster teamwork, collaboration, and a learning organization. Provide input on development and retention processes for IT employees.
  • Prepare and manage budget for area of responsibility.



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline and at least 8 years’ experience in area of technical specialty; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Appropriate technical skills.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required
  • Strong knowledge of business practices and processes in area of specialty
  • Experience leading and managing IT projects or sub-teams and knowledge of IT project management.
  • Experience leading and managing technical personnel.
  • Strong judgment and excellent analytical ability.
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of IT and business management and with vendors.
  • Graduate degree
  • Experience working within an Agile methodology.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate testing tools and overall testing in a matrixed environment
  • Familiarity with Oracle databases, SQL Developer, HP's PPM/EDMs/PCRs, HP's ALM.
  • Strong problem solving and analysis ability.
  • Utilize understanding of customer's business needs to determine requirements.
  • Previous Utility experience
