Manage and facilitate core financial processes and strategic initiatives for EWS. This includes coordination and preparation of materials for the project approval process, EWS initiatives (internal and external), and department innovation activities. Provides and maintains timely key department-wide metrics on financial discipline, operational excellence, and innovation. Additionally, manage the training and development program for application support teams and support business stakeholder training on products/system within the EWS portfolio.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Manage coordination and preparation for the EWS Project Review Committee and Long Range Planning processes. This will include maintaining relationships with business clients and IT stakeholders, ensuring business processes and requirements are identified and well understood, and participating on committees and forums that drive investment and technology strategy for the supported product portfolio.
Manage and facilitate work intake, prioritization, coordination, and reporting of metrics/status on activities pertaining to initiatives, both internal and external to EWS. Examples include: continuous improvement to processes and innovative solutions, Security Controls Program, Declining Infrastructure, and Vulnerability Management.
Manage the training and development program for IT application support teams and support business stakeholder training on products/systems within the portfolio.
Evaluate performance and provide coaching for IT personnel. Promote diversity and foster teamwork, collaboration, and a learning organization.
Qualifications
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or financial discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, or Engineering)
Typically, 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in strategy / business planning, budgeting, forecasting, or IT operations.
Demonstrated aptitude for critical thinking and excellent communication and consultative skills, including teamwork, facilitation and presentation, and negotiation.
Demonstrated ability to gather, organize, analyze, interpret and communicate data in an understandable and meaningful manner to help plan, facilitate, or execute business strategy sessions and performance improvements.
Demonstrated experience in leading and facilitating efficient/effective information exchanges between departments and cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to present and discuss complex technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding and approval.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and activities while maintaining focus on major goals and objectives, and to perform in ambiguous and/or pressure situations.
Good team building and staff coaching, mentoring, and professional development capabilities
Preferred
Graduate degree in Information Systems or related discipline or MBA.
