Job Description




Under minimal supervision, the Sr C&M Field Coordinator will provide oversight of ComEd’s property restoration program and administer Contracts for Construction & Maintenance activities including Landscaping & Paving, Overhead, Underground, Directional Boring, URD, Vaults, and other categories of work managed by ComEd C&M. Responsibilities include but are not be limited to:  ensure compliance to contract terms and conditions, adherence to the Contract Management and Work Management scheduling processes, interface between Regional Operations and Contractors.


Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.








Manage the restoration repave (landscaping) activities for the Region. Monitor Contract- Release spend, schedule, and quality of work associated with property restoration.



Research customer property restoration issues to identify and facilitate resolution, and improve workflow processes impacting customer satisfaction.  Interface with the customer, External Affairs, Claims, Care Center, Customer Relations, Project & Contract Management, C&M, and contractors to resolve. Document resolution in Action Tracking as required.



Validate contractor estimates against scope of work and contract pricing schedules.



Review Contract Requisitions.  Assess proper accounting, scope of work, approval routing, and verify for completeness prior to issuance.



Review contractor invoices against Contract-Release scope of work.



Process Payments within Asset Suite.  Prepare Contract Change Requests as required.



Maintain a contractor checkbook for the C&M funded activities within the Region; identify authorized spend and proposed schedule for execution.



Support contractor involved incident investigations.  Assist in Condition Report (CR) development and Apparent Cause Evaluations (ACE) as requested.  Coordinate reviews, challenge calls, and reporting to leadership of contractor incident findings.



Perform safety audits on C&M and contract personnel.














This position reports directly to Manager, Distribution Operations Business Support.  Manages the property restoration program for the Region.  Provides issue resolution for property restoration customer complaints in support of a Premier Customer Experience.  Reviews Contract Requisitions and ensures contract services are completed within scope, schedule and estimated price. Coordinates ComEd contracted services with a focus on adherence to Work Management and Contract Management processes and procedures.  Processes Contract Payment Authorizations.  Acts as the first point of contact for issues related to the execution of contracted scopes of work.  Performs field safety audits.







Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related discipline and 5 - 8 years experience in engineering, construction or project management activities OR high school diploma and 9 - 12 years experience in engineering, construction, or project management activities.  In lieu of engineering, construction, or project management experience, minimum 6 years contract execution experience required with a bachelor’s degree, or minimum 10 years contract execution experience required with high school diploma.

Computer literate in Word, Excel, MS Access and  Asset Suite



Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
