Constellation Distributed Energy – Old Hickory District Energy is seeking a candidate to full a position of stationary engineer at our steam plant facilities located at Old Hickory, Tennessee

  • Maintain the highest levels where it concerns safety standards, environmental awareness, occupation health, respectful workplace and workplace atmosphere
  • Operate and Maintain plant in compliance with Old Hickory District Energy operating and safety policies/procedures
  • Maintain customer relationships with all customers served by assigned plants
  • Monitor assigned plant operations through various controls systems/technologies
  • Perform maintenance and repair on equipment per the Old Hickory District Energy Maintenance Compliance Schedule and Work Flow Programs
  • Work 12 hour rotating shifts. Rotating between day and night shifts


  • Ability to pass a physical and hearing test
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years boiler operation experience
  • Effective understanding of the principles of operations for water management quality and boiler operations
  • Effective understanding of the principles of operations for water management quality and chilled water operations
  • Basic understanding and use of MicroSoft Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to perform basic maintenance (mechanical, electrical or I&E)
  • Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts 4 am-4 pm & 4 pm-4 am CST
  • Five – ten years of experience in utility operations. High, medium and low pressure steam, however may include related experience with chilled water, hot water and auxiliary systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge and facility with computer software (i.e. word processing, Excel spreadsheets)
  • Desire knowledge and experience in one of three maintenance fields (mechanical, electrical or I&E)
  • Desire knowledge and experience OSHA safety standards and best practices
