Constellation is seeking an Associate of Contracts Administration to join our Operations team. The position will be responsible for the review and approval of Retail electric and gas contracts in accordance with company and legal policies. The role includes complex issue resolution, coordinating information requests from other departments and working with sales and other operational groups to ensure adherence to contract requirements. An Associate in Contracts Administration will develop knowledge of the various types of contracts, pricing scenarios, and products across multiple retail electric and gas markets, as well as troubleshoot minor system-related issues.

  • Review and analyze terms and conditions of all retail, commercial electricity contracts and small commercial gas/power contracts while reviewing and validating customer data, confirming pricing, and executing contracts in the respective CRMs.                            
  • Ensure all Sarbanes-Oxley (“SOX”) Key controls and other company policies are adhered to and work to resolve those that are not.                          
  • Resolve potential issues with assistance from the team/ management to avoid any customer impact                        
  • Maintenance of all Constellation Agreements which include Retail Power, Broker, Vendor and Utility Agreements                      
  • Demonstrate flexibility and aptitude for quick learning by cross training across multiple regions, segments, product types and taking initiative to find more effective and efficient methods of performing contract review and execution.                 
  • Participate in system requirement testing as needed to meet company deadlines.                            


Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent business experience will be considered

Ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment

Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external parties.

Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint required)

Demonstrates solid analytical, problem solving and time management skills.

Attention to detail, proofreading and writing skills.
Flexibility of work hours as the role requires

Maintain the highest level of business principles and integrity


Prior contracts administration experience

Regulated and/or deregulated energy industry experience

Knowledge of Retail Power “Order to Cash” processes and associated risks. 

Prior experience with customer relationship management or contract management systems.

  • Budget accountability, impact on asset management, and organization revenue:  No budget accountability.
  • Level of independence, decision-making authority or strategic planning accountability: Limited.
  • Internal and external contact relationships: Key internal constituents and contacts include the Leadership Team, Retail Sales, Client Services, Transaction Management, Data Management, Billing, Pricing, Portfolio Management, Sales Operations and Legal.
  • Number of direct reports (Span of Control):  Reports to Manager – Contracts Administration.
