PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
This position will be a part of a focused group
contributing to the company’s Enterprise-wide technology evolution. You will be
part of the team building the foundation for the continuous development and
improving internal and external customers experiences. This is an individual
contributor role on a large customer transformation project supporting all
Exelon utilities. You will be responsible for various aspects of designing,
developing, testing, deploying and maintaining applications within the project.
This role is highly focused on various customer
technology platforms, with a concentration on Oracle’s Customer Care and
Billing Application. You will perform activities
relating to planning, gathering common business requirements, designing,
building, testing and maintaining high quality solutions, products and
processes. Additional involvement around
database practices and methodologies, learning technical architecture and
hardware systems sizing, and contributing in a fast-paced team
environment. You will be part of a
customer facing IT team involved with implementing a large, multi-jurisdictional,
multi-year project.
As you’ll be joining a fast-moving team, there will be
days when the team may be required to work extended hours and/or shift work to
support and meet assignment deliverables.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Perform analysis and provide technical
recommendation to IT teams and business personnel to meet business/IT needs.
- Research, write and execute test scripts as they
pertain to the project in one or more business areas such as billing, finance,
collections, market transactions, service orders, front office or reporting.
- Provide system expertise and/or support for
maintaining performance and reliability of key IT solutions.
- Build and maintain knowledge of new technologies
or technology opportunities and assist in analysis of their use for business
and/or IT clients.
- Maintain and enhance engagement with business
and IT partners.
- Maintain technical knowledge and business acumen
within own discipline or function.
- Coordinate work to be done with on and off-shore
development application teams.
- Foster a culture of innovation continuously looking
for ways to find areas for improvement in process and quality.
- Grow business partnerships through a
collaborative problem solving.
Qualifications
POSITION
SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum:
- Undergraduate degree in information science, business,
computer science or equivalent and typically 3 plus years’ experience in IT or
quantitative analytics functions
- Demonstrates strong work ethic coupled with the
ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrates strong teamwork skills with
self-motivation to achieve success in a rapidly evolving environment.
- Excellent communications skills - Able to
effectively communicate highly technical information in non-technical
terminology (written and verbal).
- Broad technical expertise with technical
knowledge.
- Understanding of change management principles
associated with new technology implementations.
- Understanding of project management principles
- Strong problem solving and analysis ability
Preferred:
- Experience working within an Agile methodology
- Experience with software testing practices and
applications (HP's ALM a plus)
- Customer Information System application
knowledge (Oracle CC&B a plus)
- Batch program understanding, administration
& troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Oracle Structured Query Language
(SQL)
- Familiarity with enterprise toolsets such as Oracle
databases, SQL Developer, FTP, HP's PPM/EDMs/PCRs, JIRA
