Reporting to the Sr Manager, Natural Gas Regional Sales, the Senior Business Development Manager (BDM) will function as the lead sales resource for Constellation’s renewable natural gas business and related natural gas sustainability product offerings including but not limited to RINs and LCFS Credits.  The Sr. BDM will: i) serve as Constellation’s internal product expert on the renewable natural gas, RINs, LCFS Credits and other related natural gas sustainability product offerings; and ii) be responsible for leveraging their technical expertise and sales capabilities to identify and close new business opportunities as well as transactions from other Constellation retail sales channels. This senior level sales professional should have existing relationships with senior level decision makers with commercial and industrial corporations.





·         Apply technical expertise and sales capabilities on renewable natural gas (RNG) procurement and related products (RINs, LCFS Credits, and other natural gas sustainability products) to identify, prospect, originate and close sales transactions with the Constellation natural gas sales team including developing presentations and conducting meetings with high-level decision makers in respective organizations to cultivate customer relationships (commercial and industrial corporations, municipalities and utilities)

·         Build a network and manage relationships with third parties (producers, consultants, brokers) engaged in the renewable energy field to position Constellation as a marketer of choice for RNG, RINs, LCFS Credits and other natural gas sustainability products procurement

·         Organize and oversee innovative outreach strategies including webinars, sales campaigns, and internal / external media to build pipeline and increase transaction flow

·         Function as the primary point of contact for RNG transactions for key internal stakeholders: Retail Sales Channels, Wholesale Supply, Volume Management, Gas Products, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and other functional organizations

·         Develop and present business cases to gain approval for transactions and proposed commercial strategies across all regions

·         Monitor the renewable and sustainability marketplaces and maintain a solid understanding of market and pricing developments to assess current and future impacts on the RNG business and natural gas sustainability products




•Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business (Marketing, Finance, Economics) or Engineering.
•At least 3-5 years of experience in energy and/or sustainability products markets with an emphasis on marketing and/or sales.
•Business-to-business energy sales experience in electric or gas commodity, energy efficiency or sustainability related products.
•Experience and senior level contacts at businesses   
•Experience presenting and closing commercial and industrial customers
•Excellent organization and communication skills, the ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed
•Proficiency with MS Office Suite and experience using databases
•All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English.

Location preference is CA, applicants in other geographic locations will be considered
