The Office of the CIO (OCIO) is charged with leading the IT transformation and building an organization that ensures the standardization of processes and tools, that enable the effective and efficient delivery of IT solutions to our business partners. The Service Portfolio Management and Projects Office (SPMPO) within the OCIO plays an instrumental role with driving IT wide project, portfolio, resource, financial and organizational change management standards, processes, tools and governance that consistently deliver the desired business outcomes.

Within SPMPO, the IT Organizational Change Management (OCM) function drives standardization of change and communication management processes and tools, resulting in the effective adoption, utilization, and realized value of IT services. The Sr. Analyst – IT Organizational Change Management is responsible for developing and executing change activities, communications, and training tasks for to support large-scale, transformational IT programs as well as smaller, focused IT projects. 

This individual should be a critical thinker with a proven history of task execution and management who is also able to:
  1. Work with other project team members and business partners to effectively complete OCM deliverables such as stakeholder analysis, change impact analysis, establishing and mobilizing change networks, drafting and organizing communications such as road shows, lunch and learns, newsletter articles, talking points, and measuring and monitoring end user adoption and readiness, etc.
  2. Provide support to the IT Organizational Change Management (OCM) function and execute change management programs and activities applying the Exelon IT OCM Methodology (Prosci®), processes and tools.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Readiness & Adoption
  • Support and provide oversight/admin for IT Change Management Intake process and tools.
  • Support Enterprise IT Change Management training and coaching program planning and logistics.
  • Support the Change Management Community of Practice (CoP) of practitioners across Exelon IT.
  • Design and develop surveys, dashboards and tools to support OCM CoE programs e.g. Change Management Intake, Change Training Assessments, Change Measures/ADKAR.
  • Support internal data analysis (e.g., employee survey, performance and quality metrics, etc.) and external research to appropriately anticipate and articulate emerging organizational needs at department levels, identifying patterns and trends.
  • Leverage knowledge from surveys, observation, and other inputs to create organization-wide reports on change initiatives, including corporate culture, employee engagement, end user adoption and change sustainability.
  • Develop and deliver change management strategies and activities that inform, engage, and persuade employees and support overall organizational change initiatives.
  • Apply the OCM Methodology and leverage standard tools and templates when developing OCM deliverables to meet IT standards and deliver quality products and services.
  • Design, develop and deliver visually appealing graphic content to achieve change and communication strategies and objectives.
  • Track and report project change management and deliverable status.
 
  1. Business Partnership
  • Build strong relationships with IT project managers, key business stakeholders, and IT leaders to become a trusted advisor. Provide organizational change management support with the goal of helping IT projects achieve their expected benefits and adoption targets, while meeting their complex organizational change needs. This may have enterprise-wide impacts and scope
  • Partner with project managers and appropriate levels of leadership to gather relevant content required to create organizational change management deliverables.
  • Work with Portfolio/Project Change Lead to manage project expectations, scope, alignment, and reporting.

  1. Vision & Strategy
  • Support internal business operations best practices and research; learn about organizational change management, communications, and training methods, techniques, trends, and recommend their use as appropriate.
 
  1. Change Leadership
  • Identify and prioritize change-related issues and risks, define action plans, and lead mitigation techniques.
  • Assist with onboarding and knowledge transfer for new OCM resources.
  • Other tasks as required.
 
Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Organization Development, Communications, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau.
  • Visual and graphic design experience and ability to efficiently translate complex messages into user-friendly deliverables including, but not limited to infographics, newsletters, training, and presentations using tools such as MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite. 



Qualifications

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Minumum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Change Management, Communications/Marketing, or related discipline.
  • Prosci® Change Management certification and experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Organizational Change Management associated with IT organizational change initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Change Management metrics and measures.
  • Advanced data analysis and synthesis skills; experience with MS Excel.
  • Experience working on large-scale, complex projects, ERP implementations, technology solutions and/or working at a large consulting firm, utility, or other regulatory company.
  • Experience/knowledge of Organizational Change Management principles, methodologies, and tools. 
  • Advanced communication skills including active listening skills and adapting communications style as needed to best suit the audience and situation.
  • Ability to plan, develop, and deliver creative, visually impactful, consistent messages in a systematic, ongoing manner, involving the right people at the right time
  • Demonstrate ability to operate in a fast, complex, and changing environment.
