The Oil & Gas Segment General Manager has responsibility to identify, develop, implement and communicate the market facing strategies, plans, and programs for the Oil & Gas sectors including Exploration & Production, Gathering, Processing, and Transportation needed to profitably achieve Exelon Clearsight’s revenue goals. Using deep industry knowledge of the Oil & Gas segment and the value proposition of the Exelon Clearsight’s offerings, the Oil & Gas Segment General Manager will consult and work with target opportunities, and identify, create, and renew effective sales enablement collateral and tools to support the growth of the market. Oil & Gas Segment General Manager will be proactive in making contact with key decision makers throughout target customers and industries and nurturing these contacts into strong relationships. Work across the organization to create focus on strategic growth initiatives, align products/services with customer needs, provide the maximum sustainable return to the business while continuously delivering superior value to our customers.
  1. Develop and Lead Exelon Clearsight growth strategy for the oil and gas segment
    • Responsibilities include market segmentation, product marketing, marketing communication, branding, and 4P (price, promotion, placement, product) strategies.
    • Creation of segment Value Propositions and identification of strategic/target customers.
    • Creation and implementation of a strategic long- and short-term business plan, by market segment, which will achieve sustainable growth objectives.

2. Solutions Development and Process Improvements

    • Work with customers, the Product Managers, Operations, the Technical Team, other Segment Managers, and Senior Leadership to identify customer needs, pain points, and value drivers related to current processes.
    • Identify technology trends, long term opportunities (including white space), competitive position and translation into a plan to develop, test and launch new offerings.
    • Lead competitive intelligence efforts to support strategy and acquisition considerations.

3. Represent and position Exelon Clearsight as a market leader in the oil and gas segment

    • Communicate our value and promote our services at industry events and with industry stakeholders
    • Gather market and customer insight via presence at Industry/Market organizations and events, major customer interactions, business agreements and negotiations.
    • Establish channel relationships to bring out products/services to market.
    • Establish mutually beneficial partnerships with other product/service providers to increase our reach and value proposition for customers
    • Identify and create effective sales enablement collateral and tools.

4. Proactive Communication

    • Model strong and effective verbal and written communication
    • Provide updates and status to senior leadership
    • Provide timely product line health reports and identify risks and risk mitigation plans as needed
    • Collaborate with leaders across the company to ensure feedback from customers is shared and implemented to improve the overall business unit. Provide ideas, feedback, market intelligence, customer leads, new use cases, and assistance to other leaders to maximize the success of Exelon Clearsight overall.


  • 12 - 15+ years experience in market segment
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Business, Information Technology, Engineering or other related field
  • Ability to effectively manage workload and meet aggressive deadlines
  • 40% to 60% travel is required
  • Potential for short term postings in another location
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically
  • Demonstrated success in establishing senior-level relationships and networks, within and outside the company

  • Ability to bring stakeholders from various departments within the company together to gain alignment on sensitive issues
  • Ability to communicate business needs effectively to solution providers, vendors, etc.
