PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

ComEd

Manage the contractor relationship and activities that directly support the establishment and maintenance of our Key Alliance Relationships that span across ComEd / PECO. #CD# Responsibilities include management of strategic contracts, vendor relations, contractor budgets, turn-key contract programs, and the delivery of contract services across EED. #CD# Ensure the development and effective implementation of strategic initiatives to improve the effectiveness and the efficiency of Exelons key Alliance Partners. #CD# Lead the organizational focus on, and attainment of, business goals and objectives in support of key internal client business needs. #CD# Develop and maintain an environment that promotes diversity, integrity, and high productivity.



PECO

Manage the contractual relationship with our key contractors to ensure contract compliance and maximization of value and performance. #CD# Manage the contractor relationship and activities that directly support the establishment and maintenance of our Key Alliance Relationships that span across ComEd / PECO. #CD# Responsibilities include management of strategic contracts, coaching contractors on PECO expectations, and communicate effectively with all PECO departments on contractor issues. Ensure the development and effective implementation of strategic initiatives to improve the effectiveness and the efficiency of PECOs key contractors. #CD# Lead the organizational focus on, and attainment of, business goals and objectives in support of key internal client business needs. #CD# Develop and maintain an environment that promotes diversity and inclusion, integrity, and high productivity.

Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountability

ComEd

Manage the key Alliance Partner relationships and the implementation of their respective contracts established by BSC Supply. #CD# Facilitate Exelon business process evaluation efforts for contract services through business cases using cross-organizational teams that include all organizations within EED. #CD# 20

- Provide input to Director in developing strategy for select Alliance Relationships or Categories of work#CD# ensure activities are aligned with and executing against strategic objectives. #CD# Support execution of VP, Technical Services business strategies#CD# ensure business activities are aligned with VP objectives. #CD# 20

- Manage Alliance relationships#CD# support Manager in maintaining high-level customer relationships (as required). #CD# Establish category levels budgets and appropriate performance measures for contract services. #CD# Lead the organizational focus on, and attainment of, business goals and objectives in support of key internal client business needs. #CD# 15

- Ensure appropriate development and implementation of category strategy for contract services, including the development of and workload forecasts, business plans, Alliance relationship growth, and overall category ownership. #CD# 15

- Accountable to leverage of knowledge of Alliance Partners work categories, and market conditions, and elevates opportunities to re-visit the Contract Management process. #CD# 5

- Ensure ownership and accountability of driving contract performance. Manage contract budgets, financial and operational performance, and implementation of Alliance growth strategies. #CD# 15

- Oversee execution of sound contract execution and management strategies to achieve financial and operational goals. #CD# Assist with identification and implementation of capability and efficiency improvements within respective work categories and Alliance relationships. #CD# 10
PECO

- Manage key contractor relationships and the implementation of their respective contracts established by Supply. #CD# Responsible for the management of all major contracts in support of PECO Gas and Electric construction and engineering activities within an established budget. #CD# #CD# 20

- Provide input to P & CM Director with strategy and performance issues concerning contract managed#CD# Categories of work. In addition, work to ensure that all activities are aligned with strategic objectives. #CD# Support execution of VP, Technical Services business strategies#CD# ensure business activities are aligned with VP objectives. #CD# 15

- Manage Contract relationships#CD# support P & CM Director in maintaining high-level customer relationships (as required). #CD# Establish category levels budgets and appropriate performance measures for contract services. #CD# Lead the organizational focus on, and attainment of, business goals and objectives in support of key internal client business needs. #CD# 10

- Ensure appropriate development and implementation of category strategy for contract services, including the development of budgets, financial and workload forecasts, business plans, Alliance relationship growth, and overall category ownership. #CD# 15

- Assist the bidding process
(including coaching the job owners to receive required materials, working with supply to establish meetings, working with the individual contractors and job owners to answer questions, bid analysis and working with management to receive the approval to award each project, setting overall annual bid limits based on 20% of budget, etc. )#CD# 5

- Ensure ownership and accountability of driving contract performance. Manage contract budgets, financial and operational performance, and implementation of contractor growth strategies. Educate job owners requiring contracted services regarding the requirements of the process (contract requisition and specific job scope) plus the approval process#CD# 15

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Minimum:

Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field

- At least 8 years of industry experience, including at least 3 years as a supervisor / manager or relevant experience

- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contract management, alliance management, financial management, and the ComEd/PECO sourcing process.

- Travel on average 10% (PECO) - 35% (ComEd) across company sites or as business needs dictate.

- Demonstrated project management and teamwork skills.

- Demonstrated knowledge of category and contract management concepts.

- Demonstrated understanding of major categories, supply markets, suppliers and products.

- Adept communicator (verbal, written).

- Cross-functional/organizational team management and facilitation skills
(internal and external).

- Demonstrated understanding of contracting business and cost drivers.

- Demonstrated data analysis capability.

- Demonstrated conflict management experience.

- Demonstrated aptitude to manage multi-million dollar contracts across the EED.

- Demonstrated sourcing technique proficiency.

- Detailed specific category expertise/technical aptitude.

- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and direction to contract management staff.

- Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders to create optimal contracting approaches and solutions.

- Demonstrated competence with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

- Competency with web-based applications, including PASSPORT, A7, Contractor Extranet and A/P system.
Preferred:

- Graduate degree or Graduate level work in Engineering, Business Administration or related field.

- Manages Key Alliance Partners that span across ComEd value at $150M. ; Identifies ongoing opportunities to improve the contracting process and relationships with contractors.
- Interfaces routinely with all EED and BSC departments and has a high level of independent decision making while performing typical job duties.
- Has responsibility for achieving corporate savings goals, and operational budget targets. ; Actions could have significant negative impact on the cash flow and revenue stream of Exelon as well as negatively impacting operational performance, work management, supplier performance, system reliability, and customer satisfaction goals.



PECO

- Manage Key Contractors performing work at PECO with a contract value over $ 100 Million. ; Identify ongoing opportunities to improve the contracting process and relationships with contractors.



- Interface with all PECO departments, with the ability to think on your feet and perform f independent decisions while performing typical job duties.
- Has responsibility for achieving PECO budget goals and operational budget targets. ; Contract Management actions have a major impact on all areas within PECO, specifically financial, operational, work management, supplier performance, system reliability and customer satisfaction. PECO.
